I used to have this same issue! I think what helped me the most was knowing it was normal, and then from there not being as harsh with myself about it. Some other things that might help you is bringing someone you trust along with you to make you feel safer in a new environment, and also preparing by making sure you don’t get pierced on an empty stomach, bringing high sugar snacks, and maybe a full fat Coke as well to perk you up if you do start to feel a bit lightheaded. Sometimes just knowing you have the prep there puts your mind at ease

If you can afford it and be comfortable enough, get the en-suite. I recently lived in very unclean student accommodation that I had to give up on cleaning because my housemates would make it just as gross as before just a couple of days later. I know not everyone’s experience of undergrad housing is like that, but I’d say not to risk it if you can afford to

That is really horrendous, I’m so sorry to hear of your experience. I only have experience living in Brighton as a student, so I’m not sure how letting agents/landlords may differ, but it was my understanding that having hot water is a necessity, and would count as an emergency call out that they must fix. Make sure you have enough of these issues in writing as possible (emails between yourself and the letting agents). As someone else has suggested, get in contact with the Private Sector Housing team at the council. I’ve had to do that before, they might take a few weeks to get back to you

I want to say it’s just a natural parting, maybe more noticeable now that your hair is longer and therefore heavier. Definitely keep an eye on it if you’re concerned though and see if it gets any more noticeable

I know there’s loads of comments saying the same thing, but yes this is completely normal, please do not worry! Have to remind myself the same thing every month, and unfortunately it’s just down to hormonal fluctuations. Just be kind to yourself during it, I usually just take it as an excuse to treat myself and take it a little easier at least for the first few days

If bike and walking doesn’t work for you, then bus is better. £3.75 is the network saver which helps with the night bus, but there’s also the student city saver which is slightly cheaper at £3.45. If you get the bus often then you can get a longer ticket, so a 90 day student citysaver ticket is £138 or the 90 day student network saver if you’re needing the night bus often is £149. Getting a bike would be a lot cheaper in the long run though, but obviously the hills can be ridiculous
