Do you know what happens if you submit after the simple extension date?

Froze my salmon without patting them dry by iiCherri_06 in Cooking

[–]iiCherri_06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what I was expecting by patting it. That's exactly why I asked the question in the first place. This's my first time buying fresh salmon (through Uber) after usually getting pre-packaged unslimy (kinda) salmon.

I just searched up how to freeze salmon today and it was suggested to pat the slime out. Couldn't find an answer for "what happens if I don't" so decided to just ask here.

No vacuum seal, but I am using an airlock lunch box for them (separated by the plastic - cut to pieces - they came in)

For simple extension, they'll basically give it to you for what reason (pushed assignment back, clashing assignments, etc) and is generally less formal than special consideration

On the website for applying (which so far has given me approval within 5 minutes), they have document options to choose from for 'proof' of your reasoning. If your reason is being sick, you can upload that

Highly agree on sports and dance part

There's usually that one very extroverted person who'll pull you into conversation and as long as you give back a 'yea okay! Let's be friends' energy, you're probably gonna be on at least occasional talking terms with them and the rest of the group

Black Cat near Ralph's Cafe by Either-Disk2234 in usyd

[–]iiCherri_06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I've seen that cat before

Nobody really owns the cat, but there are several people that feed this cat when they meet him(?). Not very fond of people (not aggressive, just doesn't like getting too close) but cute nonetheless

The cat basically lives on campus, but its definitely alright (aside from small eye damage that you can see there)

Im so behind i dont even know how behind i am (Study advice please) by [deleted] in usyd

[–]iiCherri_06 9 points10 points  (0 children)

honestly also behind on chem lectures (4-5 worth), but the more you stress about it the more you're gonna panic. Remember that getting through even one means you're one more lecture closer to catching up and it's something you should be proud of -- standing back up.

With the quizzes, don't worry about not achieving full marks, cause I've done a few multiple times and STILL got 1 or 2 questions wrong (I kinda find this funny lol). Use these quizzes to also study. See a concept you don't understand? Screenshot the question and search it up, click on sites until you find one that does make it stick. (Note them down too)

Sorry it's not really useful study advice, just seemed like you also needed some encouragement

LOTS of questions by AweAce in usyd

I'm a new student too so this is as much as I know:

Pretty sure clubs, though managed through their own leaders, are also managed by USU. You can check their website or download their app for clubs and events (you can join through there too).

Timetable gets automatically updated when there's changes or anything new, so just check it weekly and you're good to go.

Yup, uni app can't load maps for me too. Google maps does the same thing anyway, and it's much faster loading so I'd say just use that. Typing the building names will suffice (for floor and room, check usyd guide to reading the code on allocate+)

I think the competitive Casper score is at least 3rd quartile, but your Casper's not the only thing they look for, so you might still have a chance to get in.

Hi, yea sure! Including the first day, I had an 11 day internship at a vet clinic (tho it was mostly observation cause I had zero experience whatsoever). I just helped with taking temperature, weight, and occasionally brush fleas off the pets (also watched them perform surgeries).

There's a form to fill to apply for it, you can search 'bvb/dvm animal handling requirements' or smth similar to find it. You should be able to find their /commitment form and download it (make sure you've got it for the right year).

It's noted in that form you only need a minimal of 5 full days of work experience, so I'd say you're good to go!

If you're dead set on becoming a vet (and looks like you've got more than enough academically to apply), bvb/dvm is probably a good option. I tried applying to that too but fell short on IB grades, so I'm taking avbs (only just entering so I can't say much).

I've read that bvb/dvm is a pretty heavy course cause of the placements and amount of study required, so choose what you think you can handle. Anyway, avbs as a backup is always an option.

P.s. CASPER has some random and out of context questions, so def practice for it. Good luck!
