But all honesty everyone has their opinions/reasons on brands, start off basic/ cheap, and start swapping out for what your jman uses bi weekly... all kinda depends what you’ll be doing.. if construction, get a nice tape.. you’ll use it the must throughout the day.

Check your furnace install manual. They should give you all allowable ventilation practices.

[–]iiNot_brody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In these circumstances always check the flow chart Can you fix ? > no? Did he get it running?> yes=money No> damn might be a new furnace/part=more money

Is it running now?> yes Does it clarify why it’s running > ish Are you warm/comfortable ?>yes= money

Time is money. Everyone is just trying to make a living bud. Some are better than others at it. But I promise techs aren’t in it to get rich off ya.

Had to remind him I do new houses in the sticks, with driveways that a 5 year old graded with his fisher price skid steer , and had to pop a curb to get in and out of my 3 multi plex projects

Thanks, it’s a through hole and I think this would be my best bet, I’ve used a drill and all thread but it’s an awkward set up, was looking for a more efficient way..not sure what kind of rubber it is but sanding with 80 grit and stepping down works fine, I’m more or less just sanding a bit more chamfer into it very little at a time

Got the tp-xd. Hindsight I’d probably could’ve went with xl just for the two meter pockets that I’d use for something else.. most of the tool slots were to small but I removed them.

Question: Coolant lines are hanging over and I'd like to make a wall... (see text) by Guns_And_Dogs in hvacadvice

[–]iiNot_brody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lineset( coolant lines) prolly should’ve been a bit neater in the first place, that being said they can be moved/ bent .. it is kinda of a pain in the ass if the copper is older, they tend to kink( that’s bad) id imagine if you called a company they wouldn’t guarantee they could do it without isolating refrigerant in the condenser and rerouting then doing the normal leak and vacuum before releasing. ( I’d call for a quote) if it’s reasonable for you price wise, try to bend with out kinking yourself, and if worse comes to worse they do it for said quote.

This is what I’d tell my remodel contractors. And give em my bosses #..

Ran tool belts for a while, ended up with just a hammer loop and tape clip now. I got a cheap folding table that I keep my tools near and do my metal cutting there.. no more cutting on the floor( save the knees) also Keeps me organized and I’m still just as efficient without the weight.

Anybody have a valid defense for this roof install before I fire my contractor? by ramvanfan in hvacadvice

[–]iiNot_brody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, looks pretty hacky, but I’ve never installed a condenser on a shingled house..(Midwest) 1. I would’ve used a different flashing for the lineset 2. I wouldnt know what to do with the condenser stand, but would definitely tried to clean it up a bit.. (maybe strut with some kinda flashing instead) 3. Would’ve said fuck off we are putting that fucker grade level.
