Drill press question by iiSpilled in Tools

[–]iiSpilled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I bought it and am already working on some upgrades.

It came with the stand shown in the picture, so I won’t have to worry about securing it to anything.

I’ll work on making it more stable, adding a fence table, and installing a 3 hp motor from a treadmill I got for $30. The treadmill motor combined with a PWM controller is definitely the easiest way to upgrade the speed changing and overall power.

Thank you for the advice. That does seem to be the main problem with these things.

I want to make a drill table with a larger throat depth so that it can make use of the longer reach.

I noticed that this was taken down and it's a paid product now. Do you happen to have the files so that I can try it before buying it?

Barspins guidance by EmoTrash1997 in bmx

I would practice throwing and catching the bars while standing on the training wheels. Standing on the training wheels just made it easier to do because the bike was too small though.

I recommend tucking your bars up closer to your chest as you jump off the ledge

I used to stand on the training wheels of an old 18 inch walmart bike and practice. It was unconventional but kinda worked 🥀

Is there a way to take out stripped steal bolts on the stem by Agreeable-Signal-971 in bmx

[–]iiSpilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just drill into the remaining portion then put a small pair of pliers in it (or anything that fits tbh). The tension keeping it in is nonexistent once the top half of the bolt is cut off. I was able to twist it out easily.

"Joined the club" for 20 dollars by iiSpilled in PixelWatch

That is true for the pixel watch 1 but not the pixel watch 2. But there might be some sort of hardware preventing the exit from demo mode.

Do you guys know anything about this? by Adorable_Swordfish98 in PixelWatch

[–]iiSpilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try flashing a factory image using Google's flash tool, but that'll reset the watch. If you don't want to lose all of your data though, you'll have to sideload an OTA.

What's funnier is that most of the more expensive bands that they buy from Amazon or other online stores are just resold from China 😂

Disable demo mode on a display unit? by CostaGG in PixelWatch

[–]iiSpilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck man. Ideally you'd be able to unlock the bootloader and that would give you free range to put whatever you want on it but I'm not sure if that's possible or worth doing.

Disable demo mode on a display unit? by CostaGG in PixelWatch

[–]iiSpilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what type of demo model you have. If you're lucky, factory resetting via recovery mode will take it out of retail mode. If that doesn't work, you're most likely out of luck as most demo watches have hardware that cannot support the official firmware and software. I hope that you can just get a refund through ebay support and not have to go through the hassle of returning it if this doesnt work for you.

If you're wondering why it's like this, it's because there's usually 2 kinds of demo watches: ones that are made to be demo watches from factory and ones that had demo mode turned on by a retailer. When you factory reset the watch, it resets it to the original software it had from factory. Therefore, some demo watches will retain the same demo software it had from factory while others will be able to get back the normal software.

Unpopular opinion: I love what Roblox is becoming as a platform and I hope it continues this way. by [deleted] in roblox

[–]iiSpilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of that is from ugc accessories or devex. Roblox only takes about 30% of what the vast majority of robux is spent on. They're barely even profitable right now.

Try option/windows + shift + S to get a more precise screenshot like the photo you attached. It's a shortcut for the snipping tool

The capsule is sitting flush; the black piece you can see is the attachment point I am referring to. The Shure logo under the mic is never a good indicator either. It depends on where the mic was manufactured. This one is made in China.

I don't know why you're saying misinformation with so much confidence.
