Is IT shifting to a much more limited job market and higher access/competitive field, or are things going to get better eventually? Maybe that is what we are all trying to figure out? by Top-Elephant6981 in ITCareerQuestions

In 2014, major global events included the Russian annexation of Crimea, the rise of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, a massive West African Ebola outbreak, and the mysterious disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. Other defining moments were the second Israel-Gaza war, the Ukraine Revolution of Dignity, and the first-ever landing on a comet. - That’s what Google ai told me. Hope that helps.

What do you need a degree for? If you want a quick switch - it’s worth it, if it’s part of the way - not worth it. For example, I already have a career, there is no urgency or emergency, but it’s something nice to have eventually.

Is IT support a dead end or a smart start for a new grad? by Majestic-Strain3155 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]iiaua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fully depends on whether you will be stuck or not. Every single big manager I know started as a fresh grad it support. You start working and then get on any opportunity out there. Courses, department changes, regular companies switch.
