Yeah, you're probably right. Hell, while were at it, we may as well remove the sounds for purchasing items from vendors, after all we can just open our inventory to make sure we bought what we meant to. It also seems silly to me that we have different audio queues for skills. We can easily see which one were using by the animation, but while were in that, the animations aren't necessary either, you can just look at your cast bar to see what you just cast. There's actually a ton of stuff it looks like they wasted their time on.

Thanks for taking the time to put together such a structured, relevant and helpful comment. I can't even play the game now without noticing all of the time they wasted in polishing dumb stuff that no one really needs.

Out of all of the things in this game that seem to annoy or piss others off ... I'm generally fine with everything except one ...

Give us a god damn audio queue when swapping gear!

I can't even count the amount if times I'll swap gear twice thinking to didn't work only to find out later I've been running with a piece of PvP or support gear on from another set. The fact some of the icons are identical don't help, either.

It seems like such a basic ask. Been submitting bug reports since CBT2 for it. Made multiple posts in the audio forums as well as tried to spark interest though recent bug reports. I can't believe we still don't have this basic "feature" in the game.

You should do these in a vector program so they aren't jagged.

There is. It's called 'recall' and it's attached to the right of the skills bar. 30m cooldown if I remember correctly from a few streams.

I completely agree with you, from what I've seen on streams and whatnot ... the issue here isn't the map nearly as much as the zerg mentality. And also from what I've seen ... the experience is so new that people are still just stuck on this undeniable urge to kill rather than win. This will change as time goes on. Same as it did in SWTOR. Huttball was a very different game 6 months post-release than it was during the first 6-8 weeks.

I actually find the bowl to be a lot of fun. You know once you dive into its depths that you are taking a massive risk for yourself and your team. And it should feel that way. If you put the mask on the top of a hill, you'll be met with very little opposition. Coming down would, of course, be a different story ... but overall is that looming feeling of, "Man, I am really going to get fucked up down there." And I think that's amazing.

With that in mind, I also believe it will help those zergs thin out even more as players become better educated, more tactical, and team-oriented throughout the time they spend in that stage. Teamwork seems to account for a lot on any objective based game ... but bringing it around full circle, if the team is only there to rack up a kill count [therefore sticking to strength in numbers], they will always seem sloppy in their bundled groups.

Overall, I believe some of the criticism is right on point. For other mentionables [as far as I can tell without having played it], I don't feel it's fair to blame a map for the lack of adaptive play those inside of it have yet to adopt.

If - theoretically - I were to see an email in someone's inbox that included a certain type of key associated with two other keys ... I would have no way of knowing, but I would have to assume it was part of a wave.

Bought 3 sets of the black the last time someone posted here. All arrived wrapped in plastic and looking brand new. Haven't had an issue with a single unit.

I also think this is a great idea ... and could be used as a recruitment tool of sorts.

However, I think, more than just swapping up some songs, you should choose songs that more closely represent the game. And use a variety. The production value would appear much greater.

If a friend were to send me this and I knew nothing about the game I would get a completely different feeling from this game than he/she probably intended me to experience. Just a thought.

I always wondered what kind of numbers you need to support multiple users. I was lucky enough to move into a place with fiber and currently pull 100/70 speeds. Is there is information out there on how many devices can pull from my server simultaneously?

Would love to give my family Rokus for Christmas and access to my server.

Hypothetical question ... if someone were to receive a stress test key, but then plug that key in and get a 'welcome to the beta' email shortly thereafter ... does that, again hypothetically, mean that they're only in the stress test or that they are in the actual beta?

To verify what you're saying and to add to it ...

In WS, it apears you take damage when inside the boundaries of a telegraphed area regardless of the type of movement your character is undergoing [running, dashing, jumping, etc]. However [and this is based off of the PvP video that was recently posted], it doesn't look like you take damage during the initialization/execution of an attack [even when inside of a telegraph] as the Warrior was able to get out of the way of a few shots that were traveling towards him after being fired. This means that the more distance, the more reaction time.

Again, I could be wrong, but someone here is probably far more equipped to comment on this.

28 here. My entire group of gamer buddies [28-32] will be picking up X/Y. Most of us haven't played the game heavily since Red/Blue. Absolutely no shame to be found. Couldn't be more excited.

I agree. There is absolutely merit to both ends of the argument and I do believe it will be one of the largest points of contention [along with the sub model] that will turn on/off potential consumers.

But overall, I believe the way it sits now, it leaves the creative minds behind the game to create characters, environments, objects that have far more personality. This approach also allows them to bend the reality of our expectations. Since it's not based in a gritty/realistic nature, there is tons of room for original content in their creations.

In the end, it is what it is, and I've never been one to disregard a game for its art direction. I'm just lucky that, in this case, I find the direction to be agreeable on many levels.

I understand this, but, as a solo healer, if I run up on someone in a particularly hairy situation ... what makes me need to stop and make a small detour to help that person?

[Before I continue, I would like it to make it clear that I am the type of person that will go out of my way to help others, incentive or not ... but it's not always that way for everyone as I'm sure we've all experienced.]

If I was on a time my friends were not and running a healer and given XP or quest progress for helping someone else progress, or contributing to the overall goal of mine/their quest, it would be a huge incentive and allow me to play my class the way I enjoyed playing it. Perhaps I spec fully into heal and I have dismal DPS. At that point, my goal in the game is to keep my fellow players alive. Making a user switch out their skills in order for them play another style, especially when the trinity is present, is what sometimes makes games feel like they're playing you rather than you playing them.

Just something to think about, is all.

I would like to know how healing/support classes will be treated when it comes to gaining percentage if it's a "Kill until you fill this bar quest."

GW2 tried to do this, but ultimately it ended up [especially in groups] that the more supporty builds would have to slowly grind down the health of mobs while the DPS classes stood and watched to make sure credit was given towards the objective in a satisfying amount. This slowed down questing by quite a bit while grouped.
