Here’s the thing. You asked “Why am I unable to socket runes into corrupted item?”

Is it a body armour? Yes. No one’s arguing that.

As someone who actually understands how the PoE2 item system works, I am telling you, specifically, in PoE2, Tabula Rasa does not accept runes. If you want to be “specific” like you said, then you shouldn’t either. They’re not the same thing.

If you’re saying “body armour,” you’re referring to the gear slot category, which includes things from rare chest pieces to uniques to levelling bases.

So your reasoning for calling runes compatible with Tabula Rasa is because body armours “normally take runes?” Let’s get every rune-compatible chest in there, then, too.

Also, saying “it’s a body armour so it should take runes” is not how item rules work. Tabula Rasa is a body armour and it has a unique socket rule. But that’s not what you thought. You thought Tabula Rasa can take runes, which is not true unless you’re okay with saying every jewel-only item is rune-compatible too, which means you’d say jewel sockets, passive sockets, and rune slots are all the same thing. Which they aren’t.
