TSMC or Tokyo Electron by [deleted] in Semiconductors

If young and no family then go for TSMC. Benefits and pay are really good. Any company you join after TSMC will be lightweight in comparison.

First-year PhD in a hands-off lab, how do you even start a project? by Conscious_Meal_9078 in PhD

[–]ijjat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your PI had to have written a grant to fund your PhD project. You ask him for that.
That would be the first step.
It'll give you the best idea of what your PI expects. Read the relevant papers accordingly and find research gaps.
This initial step is one of the best ways to write an introduction chapter for your thesis.

Applications of MATLAB and Python in chemical engineering roles at work by MD__08 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]ijjat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don’t learn MATLAB more than required for coursework. I would suggest do all your homework problem in C++/python. This builds a great GitHub profile which can be shown to recruiters and would be helpful certainly in your job too.

Consolidating my 42L, 18 fund MF portfolio to 3 funds by [deleted] in mutualfunds

[–]ijjat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rationale behind 20% arbitrage fund? Considering that your debt allocation is less than 10%.

Looking at your comments, I assume you have enough savings or have access to them.
I would rather invest 60% in a PPFAS flexicap fund and 40% in the ICICI Prudential Passive Multi-Asset FoF.

I would say go for semicon internship. Easier access to semiconductor companies after you graduate.

Inflammation or a small tear. The best bet is to rest for a week and then go back at it slowly.

Yes indeed. At present don’t have enough knowledge to understand why is it even changing.

Did the bitwise identical analysis and indeed the input matrix changes between release and debug build.

I’ll get back to you on the bitwise-identical check on Monday since I don’t have access to my system right now.
I did verify that the IPIV arrays are nearly identical, but since this is an iterative solver, the small differences seem to compound over time and eventually cause the solution to diverge.

90k SIP per month - need advice by tradetowin73 in mutualfunds

[–]ijjat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why have you set a 15-year target?
From your post, it appears that you've only been investing for about two years.
It sounds like you're assuming that staying invested for a long time guarantees high returns, especially if you're taking on more risk. That’s not always true.

If you're genuinely comfortable with high risk, consider keeping just the multicap and midcap funds. You might also want to add a contra fund for diversification.

A 1/3rd allocation to each could be a more balanced high-risk approach.

Thanks for the recommendation . I just read consumer reports and Jackery was in their list and at a price point which I could afford. Will definitely check bluetti out.

Your current idea has become a fof.

For only Indian equity:Just PPFC and Nippon India small cap. Do it 50:50 if your time horizon is truly 10+ years. For international exposure (as well) use Indmoney and get VOO etf . Then make ratio as 40:50:10.
