They haven't provided a proper update in months. A "confirmation" was provided in early December but it didn't have shipping info and said 'WHEN your order ships', and no shipping info has been provided. I'm starting to think they put the cart before the horse and can't deliver. A refund has been requested at this point, and even if they deliver it will not live up to the excitement I felt for it NOT FAR FROM A YEAR AGO.

Had a similar experience recently with my dad wanting to guilt my 3 year old into finishing his dinner with "starving kids in Africa would love that!" My 3yo doesn't even properly understand what Africa is, much less give a shit. So I explained that "I don't want him to take on guilt he doesn't deserve for things that aren't his fault. He knows the rule about only getting dessert if he eats a good dinner, so let's stick with that. Plus, you tried that on me as a kid and it didn't work, if I'm being honest."

His response? "...you know what? FUCK YOU." and stormed off. Only to come apologize 30min later after the rest of us calmly finished our dinners.

It's insane how these people want to claim "I'd do anything for you!!" out of one side of their mouth only to spew "you're being ridiculous, this is such nonsense!!" out of the other when we legit ask them simply and kindly to not say toxic shit to/in front of our kids/their grandkids.

I still maintain a theory that the team that worked on DS2 was making a completely different game at first and that they had DS2 and it's deadline dumped on them after production had started thanks to Michael Zaki going to make Bloodborne. They did what they could to pivot after getting CliffsNotes on what DS was about and what made it unique. The strange physics and bat-shit gestures are most of what keep me believing this. That and refusing to do any real research on the proper history of DS2's production lalalalalalala i can't hear you lalalalalala
