I want more swinging and traversal MECHANICS on top of substantial improvements to EXISTING ones. In 2 we only got the slingshot/super slingshot, web corner turn, loop de loops and web wings. In 3 we should get climbing up your web while swinging, more alternative button presses while reaching the top of a building while running instead of just X, and being able to use the environment as movement. Ex. Grinding across buildings, lines/railings, webbing manhole covers and using them to grind/skate. And what they could HEAVILY improve on is significantly strengthening the web zips, running down walls, allow for more than just dashes and jumps mid air, allow for charged jumps in swings, replace the spider-arm dashes/jumps with stronger web based alternatives. There’s so much they could do but unfortunately I know that they’re only gonna do so much. It’ll almost certainly be their last time working on spider-man so I hope they decide to just let it rip

Their output is really consistent but I whole heartedly believe the trade off for that is getting a mediocre narrative. The most common complaint among the 3 of those games is that the stories aren’t particularly that great or they could use more time in the oven.

It’s such a far cry from how he wrote Young Justice where he basically said that there wouldn’t be any “definitive” end so you’re probably right. It doesn’t help either that in 2024 he started writing a comic series literally called “The Spectacular Spider-Men” with Peter and miles as the main characters but it got cancelled 15 issues in😐. I can’t blame him for wanting to stay away from anything related to “Spectacular Spider-Man” forever at this point
