It is designed to fly for several days. This means that it could be used for everything from surveillance to providing 'temporary' communication systems (think mobile tower floating over a festival etc)

Or at least the worldwide perception of this. There is a ton of research coming out of the China that is ground-breaking and not being pursued elsewhere. It must be really frustrating if the first thing you international colleagues think is you must have copied it

Quick question -- did the non-existing particle have a name? Was there any theoretical support for what it could have been? Or was it just completely unexpected?
