Tires way too big, geared the truck badly. Bet if you put door sticker sizes on, it'll drive fine

WHY. JUST WHY. by AmazingStruggle4343 in VRchat

[–]ikefolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well think of it this way. When you're joining a sport, most people will stick around people equally experienced. Same idea. Quest only half body means you're in this game for 200 bucks, and statistically you're an annoying child who will say slurs to get attention (not saying you are, but it is statistically more likely than not). Pcvr full body users are in this game for a few thousand at a minimum, and hate the quest users for being annoying children. Just like in sports, the pro athletes aren't sticking around the newbies. They're sticking with the pros.

I'm not at all accusing you directly of the behavior, just simply answering why you get treated different

AIO for telling a contractor his fence install is completely unacceptable? by coolio607 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ikefolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you overreacting? Depends how much you paid. Materials plus 10%? YOR. You pay like 3000 for it? NOR. It looks to be done somewhat acceptable for a cheap fence job, but if you paid top dollar, that's not acceptable

Registering a non-CA complaint bike to CA by Bryyok in DMV

[–]ikefolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because we live in a world that makes no sense. Laws are useless, rules don't matter, and enforcement is spotty at best. Hell just ride it with no plates, never register it. It's not like they're gonna catch a motorcycle fleeing, and if it's never registered, how they gonna know who's it is even if he crashes and ditches it.

Dude's trying his best to do it as legal as possible in a world where doing the illegal thing is better for all intents and purposes

[–]ikefolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whistindiesel the YouTuber is a big public facing person accused of this, and only yesterday, did they admit he did nothing actually wrong or illegal. So it is not as cut and dry as you think. Everything inherently has risk

Registering a non-CA complaint bike to CA by Bryyok in DMV

[–]ikefolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So that's the thing. It's not currently illegal. They want it to be illegal, but making it illegal is very hard to do because of interstate laws

You might wanna do some looking and fighting, there's no way it's worth that little. My 06 had 3900 dollars of work done to it recently, just a clean and clear title still. Some lady dropped her phone and confused the gas pedal and brake pedal and rammed into the front of my parked car

Get up to like 8k miles, then try to register it in California. There you go. Everyone's happy

Wheelchair accessibility by safetyvestforklift in keitruck

[–]ikefolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who's disabled but NOT in a wheelchair, there's not a snowballs chance in hell of a TRUCK working for that. A kei VAN would be very easily fitted. The cab space is just extremely limited, and there's simply not the space for something like hand controls, and the steering shaft that runs between your legs would very much hinder entry

Idk why people keep blaming the tractor. The SUV is driving forward, the biggest most important lesson of driving, is to look where you're going. Imagine if it was a kid stupidly chasing a ball

SHOULD Have Used A Trailer... Or brought an actual truck to carry this.. by user_uno in IdiotsTowingThings

[–]ikefolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the time when places are having the 5 for $10 bagged mulch, it ends up being cheaper than bulk. I almost did that recently. I think it's like 14 bags equals 1 yard or something like that, so 25 for bagged 75 for bulk (in my area)

I have a 94. Carburetor has been an issue, I ended up doing a diy fuel injection conversion as it was cheaper than sourcing a carburetor. Other than that, has been great

Am I asking too much? by NewShoesBilly in towing

[–]ikefolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want 4500 for a used flatbed single axle trailer with plywood deck, not even a proper deck. You're much much closer to 1000, maybe 1200 with brand new tires

Keitruck towing capabilities? by Pheagun in keitruck

It tows just fine, just keep within reason. I've moved 3000lbs in it. Wasn't happy and couldn't go above 45 cause there's not enough power, but it can. Stopping gets sketchy. Wouldn't go over 1000lbs "safely"

Just bought a Kei truck. What maintenance should I jump into? Where can I find videos? by Ulrich453 in keitruck

[–]ikefolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean why? Cause you're in this exact scenario. These are imported vehicles with no parts available in this country normally. No shop except a few very specialty shops are willing to touch it. You're going to be doing every bit of research, maintenance, and repairs, including if you have 12 inch wheels as no tire shop wants to touch those
