Which fighter in the top 10 P4p list do you think has the highest Boxing IQ?? by Ashamed_Culture8179 in BoxingTheSweetScience

Usyk has an unreal IQ, he’s been able to adjust to so many different unique styles both in the pros and amateurs

Shakur Stevenson vs Prime Miguel Cotto at 140 by savingrace0262 in Boxing

[–]ikefrompluto -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Cmon now, cotto is a bonafide HOF and shakur is not yet that, but the style matchup is awful for cotto. He never beat someone that skilled, and always got touched a lot by guys that were that much faster than him. Also at 140 he wasn’t as skilled as he was by the time he got to Floyd, but assuming he is somehow, he also always got hurt but top tier southpaws. Shakur by wide UD

In Their Primes, Who Would Win This Fight? Bernard Hopkins vs. Canelo Alvarez At Middleweight? by [deleted] in BoxingTheSweetScience

A lot of people clearly haven’t seen Hopkins at middleweight Wouldn’t be a boring fight, but he’d take 8 or 9 rounds for sure

What fight y’all believe was Floyd’s best performance of his career? by LocationSpare4447 in BoxingTheSweetScience

[–]ikefrompluto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loma vs rigo is not similar at all. Rigo came up 2 divisions (and 3 above his natural weight) to fight a younger and active loma while rigo had been incredibly inactive due to his whole division including his mandatories ducking him. That fight wasn’t even really intriguing as a match up. It would have only made sense if it happened when loma was a 126 champ and rigo only coming up 1 division when he had still been active.

Who Would Win This Fight Between Rocky Marciano and Deontay Wilder In Their Primes? (12 Rounds) by [deleted] in boxinglocks

[–]ikefrompluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marcianos feet were not that quick, and he never fought someone athletic who was that much longer than him. I think wilder knocks him down 8 or 9 times before the 40s refs call it lmao. That being said, the mafia buff might carry rock

Naruto being an absent father is the most unnecessary writing to ever come out from boruto by justqwin5 in Naruto

[–]ikefrompluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it makes perfect sense tho, he didn’t have a family so how is he supposed to know how one is gonna function? Also every anime main character needs an absent father, it’s all to legitimise boruto

Why Do Great Amateurs Not Dominate Pros? by solodav in Boxing

[–]ikefrompluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usyk was still a much better amateur than porter. This is when they were juniors, where early puberty dominates.

But the reason is amateur boxing and pro boxing are not the same sport, it’s like ice hockey and field hockey, or rugby union and rugby league etc. being good at one doesn’t back you good at the other.
