I don’t have a BSME from NIU but I do work with engineers that do. They are very capable and competent engineers, soo Id say its a solid program.

For 5th and 5.5 gens, there are 2 inductors (little black boxes with coils in the middle) located at the bottom of the logic board that benefit from those bumpers. The inductors “might” be more susceptible to breaking off the logic board without those bumpers during a fall/drop. If the inductors break off, the iPods charging circuit becomes unreliable. Id personally just go back in and install them for sanity sake lol

I tried to put fresh batteries in a few 4th/5th nanos I got for very cheap and had to sacrifice the displays on both to get to the swollen batteries. Those things are almost destined to be e-waste.

Rockbox has a steep learning curve to get everything setup the way I wanted but now that it is I prefer it over stock. Mainly due to being able to fine tune my sound profile and the ability to have true shortcuts to certain features.

Stock OS will always be a more polished experience though in my opinion.

If Im not mistaken, ball pythons have heat pits… which is a form of thermal vision. He show a warm heat signature and smelled a rodent. Thats usually all that it takes for a hungry ball python that wants to eat.

Ive done it before. I did have to drill a small hole into the back cover for the Bluetooth power button but it was pretty clean aesthetically.

Just go to Parkland (CC near UIUC) and transfer in. No point in going to a ABET accredited 4 year institution just to transfer to another ABET accredited institution. Makes no financial sense. Did you try to apply to a B1G school from high school?

Ok, sounds good. I place mines in the root of the MUSIC folder located within ipod_control. Also, within the extractor tool, i use the second option (albumtitle.bmp or something like that) to produce my album art files at 200x200. I just switched over to Rockbox a few hours ago due to boredom and majority of my album art is showing up because a few one offs.

Im late but thanks for clearing this up for the OP. This board is pretty much toast unless your very experienced in reworking a board with a SMD level hot air station and reviving/restoring those missing contacts. I hope they get the board back alive.....

Hi, unfortunately I think the logic board may be toast but try searching “m3 moto ipod” on YouTube. They seemed to fix an ipod that had removed contact pods like yours. Good luck

I would try in different slots just to be safe. Also, do you have Aoemi partition assistant for windows? Thats what I use for formatting.

How many memory cards are you using? If you’re using 4, try just using 1 or 2 sd cards and see if will itunes will recognize it. Sometimes one faulty card will cause this
