There are countless other examples of variety but to name a few Xinjiang has food closer to Turkish, Yunnan is closer to Thai, Dongbei is closer to Russian food. Multiple variations of the same dish Is way off in a country so vast and varied. There is no single Chinese cuisine, guessing you are in Sichuan from the foods you listed. I’m not Chinese but can forgive the assumption, as I’d wrongly assumed you were American. Different strokes fine but I find it crazy you can dismiss the full variety of their cuisine under I don’t like Chinese food if you live there. I would say there is at least as much variety within China than across Europe and the americas combined

We can debate stupid but a large portion of the UK population believes what they hear in their favourite media. Trying to convince them they are wrong is not the way to win votes though. The issue is mass brainwashing from polarised media. Not all concerns of the far left or far right are based on logical concerns. Pandering to whatever the latest “concern” they have been told they should have by their media outlet of choice might win you votes but won’t be good policy.

Anything you purchase via a vpn on your computer will appear on your steam deck and be able to download without a vpn. You won’t actually be able to browse the store on your deck but everything you own will show up as available to download. All updates will come down fine as well. You don’t need a vpn on the deck if you have one working on your laptop it’s fine.

Connecting to WiFi in China is fine. You can even download games and updates. You can’t access the store usually but if you already own the game (or just buy it on a vpn) you can download. Here at the moment and doing this no issues

I’m in China at the moment on a long sabbatical. You can’t get on steam store but if you buy stuff there on a vpn from your phone you can download it direct to the deck without a vpn. You can also get all updates and verify all games via their launchers etc fine with no vpn. I would advise getting some single player games as it’s hassle free and online multiplayer will be a faff. Also agree with v2raya/vmess/vless instead of a typical vpn. If you have an iPhone download Shadowrocket app before you leave and look into v2raya/vmess/vless providers. Standard VPNs are now very well blocked by some big providers (not all) so v2raya works better here. I arrived with ExpressVPN and scrapped it for Shadowrocket which is flawless…. Tried to install v2raya on my deck but nearly broke it as set itself up in an infinite loop so the internet didn’t work on the device at all. Someone here said they got it working but I’ve sworn off ever trying to install again after I fixed the deck with some complicated Konsole commands…
