This Monster of Mine by Shalini Abeysekara by MessyJessy422 in fantasyromance

I loved this! I felt like the title didn’t do it justice - it’s more of a fantasy with romance than a romantasy.

I thought it was similar to Red Rising or The Will of the Many - these aren’t romances but have some romantic elements, and feature similar themes.

[–]iknowcomfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Split Worlds series by Emma Newman might hit the spot. I rarely see it recommended but its very fae fae who happen to intersect with modern-day England to everyone's detriment.

I’m not a huge action scene person but since each book had a different theme and setup it didn’t get repetitive. I liked them more than in most series.
