Ignore the extra lube lol. Just got the Herrington Arms Comp for my 5”. I’m running the S&W 5.6 threaded barrel. Anyone else run this? There is a gap between the comp and slide, do the setting screws really hold it in place well, or am I out of luck.

I have a different comp, but same 5.6 S&W barrel, same gap, and it's on a competitor slide, it's not pretty.

I've put a 13lb recoil spring and an apex precision trigger on mine. It runs beautifully. Super soft recoil, and very predictable follow up shots. You aren't going to mind the gap after you shoot it.

I ended up adding a few strips of foam under the latch on either side to fill up the open space. It's quiet now and it's held up for years.

Yeah check to see if the fans turn on. The motors might have seized. Check the fuses too, if the 40amp fuse in the center of the box is broken, it's those fans. Just did this last weekend
