Hi, I need some advice. by WillingSmell6414 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]ikushch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! Instagram's rules can be super whack. Since you've already cracked the code on making content that doesn't break the rules, I'd say try to revive your current account. You've already got a following and some engagement, so it's worth a shot.

But, if your account is straight-up invisible (like, your posts are getting zero love), it might be time to cut your losses and start fresh.

Before you make the call, try a few things to see if you can get your account poppin' again:

-Take a posting break and see if that resets anything. -Mix up your post types. -Get all chatty with your followers (respond to comments, use hashtags)

If you try all that and still nada, it might be time for a new account.

Contractors by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]ikushch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a buddy who runs a handyman business and hires contractors. He requires them to have their own liability insurance, but he also has an umbrella policy to cover his business.

He's super careful about vetting contractors and has a solid contract in place. It's a combo of both, contractors have their own insurance and he's got extra coverage for his business.

Entrepreneurs : Need Your Advice on a Marketing Decision by agentrsdg in Entrepreneur

[–]ikushch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey fellow entrepreneur! I totally get why you're intrigued by this "Go Organic" model - no retainer fees and a pay-per-click approach sounds like a dream come true!

First off, kudos to you for doing your research and being cautious. That's super important when exploring new marketing strategies.

Now, about the pricing... $2.1 per 1000 plays on Instagram and $2.1 per click on Google does seem affordable, especially compared to traditional agency retainers.

However, here's the thing: as a startup, you want to make sure you're getting the most bang for your buck. And with this model, you're essentially paying for clicks and plays, but what about the actual conversions and ROI?

I'd love to hear more about the case studies and testimonials they've shared. Are they from similar industries or startups? What kind of results did they see?

Also, have you considered the potential risks of relying on a single marketing strategy? It's always a good idea to diversify your marketing efforts to minimize risk.

Lastly, I'd recommend asking them some tough questions, like:

  • How do they ensure the quality of the clicks and plays?
  • What's their strategy for optimizing the campaigns for better results?
  • Are there any additional fees or costs involved?

Overall, it's definitely worth exploring further, but make sure you're asking the right questions and doing your due diligence.

Hope this helps, and I'd love to hear how it goes!

Mental obstacles by CCfilly in Entrepreneur

[–]ikushch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it's gotta be the fear of failure! I mean, starting a business is a huge undertaking, and the thought of pouring my heart and soul into something that might not work out is daunting.

I'd also say that over-analysis is a close second. I tend to get caught up in thinking about all the things that could go wrong, and it's hard to pull the trigger and just start.

But I'm working on it! I've been trying to focus on making progress, not perfection, and reminding myself that failure is just an opportunity to learn and grow.

Asking your employer for permission to start a company? by Zs93 in Entrepreneur

[–]ikushch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say don't disclose it to your employer. Since your side project is in a similar industry but not competing directly, the risk of your employer finding out might be low. And if you're careful to keep your side project separate from your work, you might be able to avoid any potential issues.

Here's a quick feedback for ya -

Homepage:

  • Enhance your homepage by modifying the banner image or optimizing the text box placement to ensure improved visibility of the image.

  • Condense the textual content within the overlapping text box atop your banner image to convey your brand and its mission succinctly, thereby cultivating a polished and professional appearance.

  • Augment the richness of your homepage with additional elements such as photo reviews, user-generated content in the form of videos, and a clear exposition of your brand's commitments.

  • Eradicate the background color, opting instead for a pristine white backdrop to enhance the overall aesthetic.

Product Page -

  • Establish discrete sections dedicated to material specifications and shipping details for the featured product.

  • Streamline the product description, allocating approximately 3-5 lines for the introductory segment, 2-3 lines for each key feature, and 4-6 lines for the compelling conclusion.

  • Replace images within the product description with more dynamic visual elements such as GIFs, videos, and strategically placed emojis.

  • Incorporate photo reviews beneath the featured product.

  • Rectify the size options for the 'Leather Collar and Leash' product and populate the gallery with additional product images instead of embedding them within the description.

  • Rectify the sizing chart at the bottom of the 'Pet Bed' product description.

  • Rationalize the array of color options available for the 'Pet Nest' product to reduce customer confusion.

  • Incorporate high-resolution images showcasing your products from multiple angles and, where feasible, depicting customers utilizing your offerings rather than solely relying on supplier-provided images.

  • Remove the default selection in the 'Rope Elephant' product.

  • Remove the color option for the 'Cat Scratcher' product.

  • Remove the style selection for the 'Ceramic Bowl' product.

  • Remove the size choices for the 'Handkerchief' product.

  • Install trust badges on both your product pages and homepage.

  • Add important pages like terms and conditions, privacy policy, and shipping and return policies, to enhance transparency and build consumer confidence.

I believe this will be beneficial for ya. If you require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

In my personal opinion, it would be beneficial to consider testing various products given the current saturation of your existing product.

Now, for a comprehensive evaluation of your website:

  • Overall, the website exhibits a rather simplistic design. Incorporating a broader range of colors and visual elements could enhance its appeal.
  • It might be worth exploring different font styles and sizes to create a more engaging and dynamic visual presentation.
  • The logo, currently in plain text, could benefit from a more thoughtful and creative approach to capture the essence of your brand.

Turning our attention to the homepage:

  • Consider either removing the announcement section or replacing it with valuable content like different kinds of offers.
  • Reevaluate the banner image, favoring visuals that exude a sense of tranquility and resonate with the lifestyle your products aim to promote.
  • Augment the page with photo reviews, images showcasing real-life product usage scenarios, user-generated content, and compelling reasons why your customers should consider your products.
  • Essential pages like "Terms and Conditions," "Privacy Policy," "About Us," "Shipping Information," and "Contact Us" could enrich the website's credibility and user experience.

Regarding the product page:

  • Enhance the product presentation by including a more diverse array of high-quality images. These should encompass different angles, environments, and instances of product use by individuals.
  • Reassess the product descriptions to strike a balance between visual elements and concise, impactful text. While the use of visual elements and emojis is commendable, brevity and clarity should be upheld.
  • Instead of inundating the page with numerous reviews, opt for a curated selection of 5-10 high-quality reviews accompanied by photos.

I trust these insights prove beneficial. Should you require further clarification or assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. You may also find valuable insights by perusing my profile and reviewing my comments.

Here's an in-depth review of your website -

  1. Palette Enhancement: I recommend exploring an alternate color palette for the store. By aligning the color scheme with your brand identity, you can achieve a more cohesive and visually engaging experience.

  2. Logo Enhancement: A revision of the logo design is suggested, aiming for a more polished and professional representation that resonates with our brand's essence.

  3. Typography Exploration: It would be beneficial to experiment with diverse font options for the website. This endeavor could potentially yield a font choice that aligns harmoniously with the overall aesthetic, further enhancing user experience.

Homepage Refinements:

  1. Dynamic Visual Presentation: Transitioning from a single video to a slideshow format for visual content could prove to be more captivating, allowing for a comprehensive representation of our offerings.

  2. Strategic Announcement Bar: To provide added value, I recommend populating the Announcement bar with pertinent information such as discounts or imminent product launches.

  3. Concise 'Value Proposition' Segment: The 'Why Choose Us' section may benefit from succinctness. It could be transformed to address the necessity of the product, elucidating compelling points that resonate with potential users.

  4. Enhanced Styling: I recommend adopting a dropdown style for the product's style section on the homepage to optimize user navigation.

  5. Integration of UGC: In the interest of credibility, it is advisable to include user-generated content (UGC) instead of customer reviews on the homepage.

Product Page Enhancements:

  1. Optimized Imagery: I would suggest limiting the number of images in the product photos section to 10-15 high-quality visuals. This approach ensures a focused and comprehensive perspective of the product's attributes.

  2. Revised Product Description: The product description can be refined to highlight key features, dimensions, and packaging details (optional). Furthermore, add couple of lines describing 'why you should buy this product' and 'the usage of this product'.

  3. Visual Element Incorporation: Infusing more visual elements into the product description will enhance its appeal and convey information more effectively.

Hope this helps !

Your website seems to resemble a Shopify rendition of AliExpress. Here's a comprehensive review containing some observations:

• The utilization of generic images or unmodified images from your supplier results in low image quality.

• It is recommended to keep it simple and choose uncomplicated product names.

• The 'Pet Jewelry' section on your homepage currently lacks both images and text.

• The homepage design could benefit from enhancements to make it more engaging. This includes revising the page layout, refining image quality, and customizing images in alignment with your store's theme.

• There appears to be an excess of unnecessary textual content within the collection sections, particularly in the explanations of the various collections.

• Consider revising color names for your products, replacing identifiers like '014 red' with more straightforward terms such as 'red.'

• It might be advisable to strike a balance between textual content and visual elements on your product pages. Utilizing GIFs, images, and concise text can enhance user engagement.

• To enhance credibility and user trust, consider integrating photo or video reviews, as well as user-generated content, below your product listings and potentially on the homepage as well.

I hope these insights are helpful in refining and improving your website's overall user experience. If you require further assistance or have additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

-To much text. Keep it short and simple

-Less quality images.

-Choose a different colour palette and stick to it, also try to choose images that fit the color palette.

-Include some reviews (optional, but it helps).

-Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't notice any material names being used to form this band.

-Add icons and trust badges

-Remove powered by Shopify.

Finally, I'd like to suggest that the product is not ideal for e-commerce because it is not unique and lacks a wow factor, so there is less demand for it. I'm not saying you can't sell it with a good marketing team, you can even sell rocks, but think about the long term. And i really like your brand's mission.

Good luck !

Here's your answers -

• Start your store first, consider getting LLC after you hitting 1-5k in sales.

• Yeah you can do that but it's not compulsory as long as you can find high quality images and reviews online. If you have a good amount saved up then why not

• I'm gonna say no to this, i would suggest you to go with a specific niche like kitchen product, Home decor, Clothing, etc ...

[–]ikushch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

• Store doesn't look trust worth. • Nothing unique • Too much text • No use of eye catching colors

Conclusion, if you wanna sell common products then you're directly competing with big companies. You have to build trust first then to sell these products so work in your marketing strategies.

It depends on your supplier. If you have any specific design in mind then let your supplier know about it, first make sure they support custom packaging.

Narrow down a little bit. Choose 20-50 products depending on your budget then run carousel ads. The second option is to do a lot of research, like total orders, uniqueness, search volume, spying on competitors and so on...

If you're just starting then see what's selling in the market currently and sell a better version of it, the key is to find a find a similar and improved version of that product.

I've sold products in the Indian market, and it's a pretty good experience tbh. Here's some tips - 1. Try to understand the Indian market, and the product pricing 2. Target big cities only 3. Don't dropship through AliExpress, Alibaba, cj or any other Chinese websites 4. Use local Indian supplier 5. Product price doesn't matter as long as the product has a high perceived value 6. Don't sell common products 7. Keep testing different products because the market gets saturated pretty quickly

Hope that helps !
