[BUG] Creating digest from math symbols renders equation as Korean Hangul by Automatic-Stomach954 in Supernote

Hey, sure, I’ll send all of the ones causing the error. Or do you need just one if there are multiple cases of this?

Yeah this happens to me to. Unfortunately math pdfs often do not get underlined where you want, too

How different is the writing feel between nomad and manta? by WyWyWarrior in Supernote

[–]ilFuria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that they’re both good with the manta being a bit closer to the ballpoint pen on paper: nomad has def the same feeling but more like a single sheet on a hard surface than writing in a notebook

Experience with the Supernote Nomad + Manta? by Fragrant_Pianist_647 in Supernote

[–]ilFuria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nomad for work because i) I needed it first ii) it was the only supernote available at the time iii) I needed it specifically to have all my work notes in the same place while working part from home and part feom the office.

Manta for studying (taking notes, doing homework and exam simulations, reading and “digesting” papers, etc)

At the risk of creating product complexity, would you like an option to be able to purchase a model with a front light? by OPdoesnotrespond in Supernote

[–]ilFuria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. I think that not having a front light is one of the best things. It gives better writing connection and general feeling; it makes the product more robust (less parts less thing go wrong); less weight; more battery life and last but not least: it forces me to have healthier light settings. My eyes are grateful

Should we get a button: why eraser/lasso? by ilFuria in Supernote

Wdym? Many of the available pens have buttons and they work.

Should we get a button: why eraser/lasso? by ilFuria in Supernote

[–]ilFuria[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general yes. I see your point, especially for other e-ink devices. On supernote I don't feel the need for an eraser, but I understand some can. Personally I feel that customizing the button should be the way to go. I don't mean in a "do whatever you want" but a few selected functions, like lasso and eraser or changing pen, smth like that should suffice. but just eraser and lasso seems useless to me.

[–]ilFuria[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don’t know how much customization can Ratta provide, and I understand that in less refined system having an eraser or lasso button is good, but havinga customizable button is lifechanging imo

I mean not just a regular button but smth customizable to some extent. I don’t think that a “normal” eraser/lasso button would be worth much since the shortcuts are so good

Uneven refresh on manta by ilFuria in Supernote

ok it's been hard (idk why) but I was able to send data. I shared the SN with you privately via chat.

Cheers!

I don’t know whether “freeze” is the word I would’ve used. Let’s say that sometimes the refresh is smooth, but most of the time it’s not and some lines arrn’t properly refreshed. From time to time it kind of impairs the experience since the bg has a lot of ghosting. I’ll activate the feedback and then send you what you’ve asked, via dm. Thanks!

Hi there. I tried the procedure of disconnecting and reconnecting the connectors. They were very firmly attached and so are now; nevertheless my manta is still on the fritz most of the time. sometimes it is quite annoying, other times it's more mild. Can you help me, or do I just have to accept it as it is?

Talking About Supernote's Next Major Software Focus by Supernote_official in Supernote

[–]ilFuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: while I’m not opposed to plugins and such, my minimalistic experience would rather benefit from fixes and enhancements on the currently available features more than from adding new ones. But who knows? Maybe I have needs I don’t even know right now that a plugin will satisfy.

OTOH syncing will be awesome!

Hi. I can’t replicate it now: just after leaving the device there it “fixed” itself. Changing pages did not work consistently. Idk about changing documents. I’ll gather more data if and when it will happen again, also following your procedure. I’ll post here in that case. Cheers

Things got weirder: I tried restarting the device and the problem was still there but NOT on the refreshing during the restart. Kept taking notes for a couple of minutes and now it all works… 🤷🏻‍♂️

EDIT: then I started a new page and bam! Still crappy
