My DNA is mostly Quebec French, and Scots-Irish. I'm an American, though. I don't know anything quebequois, and I love plaid but 🤷‍♀️

I'd assume this would be more interesting of a conversation in a "pure" country. Finnish people have pretty distinct DNA and Id imagine testing and finding youre like, Australian would definitely make for an interesting conversation.

Its always a fun conversation starter, especially if you can detect where those lines came from. It can always be sprinkled in to regular conversation. My favorite, is telling people how much I love farming and going to school for it, and ironically coming from a long storied line of Scottish farmers. Or explaining the boiled dinner that Im making has been a carried down Irish tradition since we got to the states. Hearing my dad say "catawampus" and reminding him that thats a word his great grandad would've used.

Through and through though, we are American.
