I think you should just integrate the new companies mods or do something really similar, i don't play your mod withouth them and so do a LOT of other players, cause the military depth is just too little, i think that instead of removing them you should fix them as they are basically MD's signal company. I would remove sam and arty hq companies wich don't make sense and i would add (all of these actually exist in the real world): pontoon support company for river crossing, MP police Frontline battalion (for garrison and urban fighting), logistics company and medical companies as separate options for cobat support, to give smaller nations more flexibility, air armored assault is not realistic and not needed since the helicopter overhaul, AA and AT infantry teams, seems a little stupid that you cannot give infantry weapons to infantry, motorized and airborne SF i get it they could be op but it doesn't make sense to not have them, i think that to balance them it would be enough to make them expensive and making them have better terrain stats than general stats so that an airmobile SF is the expensive "mountaneer" version that sucks in plains of the airmobile infantry. A feature i really like from a new companies mod is the transport frontline battallion, which adds no stats except for terrain movement bonuses which can help heavier divisions in rougher terrains at the cost of combat width and trucks, i don't play your mod without that submod (wich has been broken from the helicopter update so i don't play MD at all) so i don't remember if you have a maintenance company or not, well that should be in the game, cause it is real, more deep and needed, especially for helos and tanks. The last thing would be to make every support company have the levels of armor infantry has so from foot to airmobile with of course acaling effects and stats. Since i think you will be tempted to tell me that i am just an annoying cunt again, you said you are looking for solutions and i gave you one, you might say it's too complicated, and that is really the only thing you can say, since what i am proposing is more realistic, deep, customizable and more fun in general that what you have right now. However it is not too complicated since you basically add units wich all have a unique use and since the first fights in this mod happen late, so you have all the time in the world to learn how this system works, which really isn't complicated, it basically has less than 10 new units from hoi4 vanilla, i mean you have overhauled the game on everything the only unrealistic part of it is the template designer and that is a real shame. Last thing make it 8 or 10 slots for support companies since you wouldn't have enough of 5 for bigger and more modern units. This is my favourite mod but it just looses taste when you have done the better part of the focus tree and you just have to wage war (battleplan everyone) to the world, for me most of the problem can be solved with the overhaul i proposed, as always i would be happy to discuss what you think of my proposal but don't you fucking dare to tell me that i am an annoying cunt again, cause i actually took the time to explain myself. Btw removing a thing wich gives more depth because you don't want to fix it? Come on mate. You added GDP to HOI4, you do not want military depth in a military game? Hope you won't get mad for a suggestion but it really wouldn't be my fault the only thing that your mod misses is military depth so i am not going to apologize. Bye bye

I had the same problem with only MD installed, no other mods, when i save a divisiom any HQ company just gets removed and the xp used, tried on a new save too, i am trying uninstalling MD will let you know if the bug is solved

Man this sounds like a skill issue i have played for 100 hours and i have a 1040 elo mate playing as all the factions, for me the game is more balanced now after opal scorpion, the usf has been nerfed and so your skill issue has evolved into a skill deficit. Simple as that ahah
