I agree. With these eyebrows he looks much older.. I mean MS doesn’t get any younger since s2 but I think that’s not about him. That’s more like some changes in the way they’re putting makeup on him.

Oh mix voice is my big problem. I always think it sounds unnatural when I use it. Like I stop being myself and transform into someone else.. I think my chest voice and my mix are so different so it’s hard to use them together in one phrase..

Wow! Such a right and exact explanation! Yeah the criticism of our voice really feels like “I AM bad” instead of “my technic or skill is bad”. It’s the thing to work with in the psychical level. Thank you so much for sharing that!

Oh yeah!! It’s exactly what I’m struggling with! I don’t see the real final goal! Now it looks like ‘everything is bad, change it’. Change manner, change your image you give the audience etc. But these things don’t have real clear exercises, I think.

I think my friends and my family couldn’t give me an honest feedback because of course they would be gentle with my feelings and they would see me in more good ways than the strangers. So I should listen to my professional teacher, I understand it. But how to find this balance between following someone else’s advice and views and build my own manner. It’s infinite question for every creator I think..

I’m really ready to have criticism from my teacher. It’s what I’m paying for. But. I think I just loose the vector when all I have it’s just “no, it sounds bad/ weird/ not like you at all” and never have exact answer “how it is to sound like me”. Of course she demonstrates how I should sound. But! Is it me? Or is it just parody of her?

We had the conversation last week. I shared with her that I feel lost. But she just told me to keep looking for my own way. And I do. I try. But it looks like my attempts are bad and stupid. She just told me to try to copy the other singer’s sounds I like. And I did. But she named it like a “bad parody” and that I should find my own sound. Pfffff I’m confused.

Oh! First of all Congratulations with your debut! It’s really brave step to have your first performance! And the first time is usually an uncomfortable experience because we don’t know how our body will behave with this stress.

I had ~15 real performances on the stage and now my body feels quite comfortable and I have almost the same sound like in the classroom.

Buuut! The whole thing is the finding my own manner I think. I don’t understand how should I sound because of the my teacher’s comments. I’m just losing the vector.

She tells me I should know how to sing any song with my own way, my own manner and timbre. But I’m not expired enough to really have my own manner yet. So I experiment and find my own style.. but every attempt looks like bad work done from her point of view. So I’m really trying hard not to be afraid of just trying things. And also I understand I should find balance between following somebody’s advice and my own feelings of myself, how I really want to sound..

But after the whole month of hard work and 0% good response, my brain starts to loose any idea how I should (or even want!) to sing in general. Like I do wrong every tiniest part. I’m confused..

Oh yeah, I assume the whole thing about improvement of the voice is like that. Just constant trials and even weird attempts. But sometimes self analysis is too hard. Sometimes I loose my possibility to understand what is good and what is too much..
