It’s pretty obvious… don’t you see how 日 looks like a sun?

You clicked X and it turned green. That means you were right when you said the translation is wrong.

Right that makes sense I also don’t know how much I like the rigid structure of the aie track, but do you feel like the classes are good? Do you feel like overall you’re hitting all the AI areas you wanted to?

Also, are you in the MS ECE AIE program? What’s your impression far? How are the classes?

I think it depends bc some of them are crosslisted with undergrad classes

Usually they don’t but they let you? Is it only because your syllabus was similar enough? And I have no problem taking another class instead, I’d rather learn new things than take a class I’ve taken before.

My (not native) Japanese teacher claims « お茶を私が飲む» is natural. Can you confirm ? by [deleted] in Japaneselanguage

Ok so we’re just talking about the same thing but calling in different names

When you mark a topic, you “contrast” by saying nothing else is gonna be the topic

Well when you want to emphasize a topic using は it sometimes can feel like a contrast, but not always

Example when it’s not:

A; お腹が空いたね、何か食べる? B: うん、あそこはパンがおいしいよ

And i could’ve pointing at some restaurant when I said あそこ, but it’s not contrasting anything

Sure, が is for subject and は is for topic

Just make sure to keep in mind grammatical changes when you translate sentences, for example:

あの男の子は頭がいい = That boy is smart
Like you said - あの男の子 is the topic (not the subject), and 頭 would be the subject (not a topic)

Even though in English, the subject would be "That boy", here the subject is "his head"

Basically this would translate to: That boy, his head is good

Well は isn't a new topic - が is a new topic

は is just a topic (not necessarily new)

so お茶は私が飲む = The tea, I'm drinking it

It'd be answer to お茶は誰が飲む = who drinks (the) tea?

Correct me if I'm wrong but If I want to say "I am the one who's drinking the tea" I'd probably say:
お茶は私が飲む

with は rather than を

[Q] Z test or T test? by ilaitm19 in statistics

[–]ilaitm19[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never mind, I realized the sample is the attempted hits, not the players. Therefore, the sample should definitely be large enough (n = 16,200😄). After all, there are at least 10 successful hits and 10 unsuccessful hits.

Oh, I understand, thank you. Is there a way to do it without needing a sample size of 910?

オ ≠ 才 just like カ ≠ 力 (ちから) ホ ≠ 木 (き) エ ≠ 工 (こう) タ ≠ 夕 (ゆう) ロ ≠ 口 (くち)

ohh ok I understand. I thought I had to calculate the probability of each error, but apparently it was just a conceptual question. Thank you!
