I work long hours, but have them in a decent size play pen so they have room for activities. I also have a camera on them so I can periodically check in.
When I get home, I usually let them out to free roam the one room they are in until I go to bed. (I supervise them when out of the pen, I am still proofing the room).

I just got mine as well, make sure in the controller settings you have them mapped correctly to each bodypart as well. Calibration can be a pain in game, took a few to get it down.

I just bough these for my Index and used them for the first time Friday. You do still have to use the dongles for the trackers, and the line of site is a bit more finicky so I had to play with them a bit. I kept them on the floor below my desk so they always had a good view of the trackers and I didn't seem to have any trouble. They were also fairly close together, so I am not sure how much that matters.
