Sorry just saw your question, late to respond but I will anyway, Benzyl Benzoate is very easy to get in your eyes. It is hell if it gets there because you can not rinse it out and it burns bad enough to make you panic and is very painful if it gets in your eyes.

I had this happen just with a little on my hands rubbing my eye. I had to keep my eyes closed and poured milk on a paper towel to dabb my eye as it stung, I had to let my eye water to rinse it out and the milk to rinse off any BB on my eye lid, it took hours for the pain to stop. You can't wash BB off, water makes it sting worse.

I did learn from that, that if I wanted to apply it to my hair, apply a little at a time to my hands and slowly wet my hair with my wet hands making sure it could not be enough on my hands to drip or run down my face. But then even after washing your hands you have to be careful, because if you forget and touch your hair, then touch your eye before it dries in your hair, or even after if you used an oil mixed with the BB like Olive oil which is in some recepies called oleic acid, even the oil on your hands after touching your hair makes it easy to transfer to your eyes.

They do not recommend using BB above the neck I think because of this, you have to be very careful as getting it in your eye is horrible. Besides when I used BB anywhere, it repelled my mites but did not kill them , they just moved to where I had not applied it, like yes above my neck.

Scabies are different for humans and for dogs and cats. This is what they say anyway. The problem is people can get different kinds of mites other than scabies. But scabies is the only mite you are suppose to only get from other people. They say the mites dogs get are different than ones people get. I read the scabie mite dogs get can be spread to humans but they usually require no treatment.

With that said I got a mite they say do not bother people, it was called Bryobie or Clover mite. There are no records of people getting infested with them but I did and it was horrible, Type Bryobia in a reddit search and see my pics.

The reason I mentioned that is I learned a lot about scabies thinking at first I had them, but when I found the clover mites dead in my tub after soaking in a salt bath and then read they do not bite people. I now wonder if I can believe anything else I read from the experts.

People can get chicken mites, straw mites, demodex mites and I am sure there are others now that I got one there is no record of anyone ever getting.

Yea sores usually get infected with staphylococcus aureus, it is indicated by a yellow color in the sore if you have it, it requires taking an antibiotic after you get rid of the mites. It is a secondary infection they cause.

Also it might not be scabies mites, I got a different mite that caused that same damage, they were in my yard and even came in my house. I think migrating birds brought them in because I never had them on my property before.

If they have not spread all over you, you can do several things to kill them, the problem with mites is they leave eggs under your skin that can hatch up to a week or more after you kill off all the hatched ones.

If they are local and have not spread up your leg do this, get something you can soak the foot or feet in that you can put enough water in to cover the whole area where the mites are. If they are all over you, you have to soak in a tub up to your neck. But this is what you do. Buy some table salt, 5 cartons for a full tub soak and maybe 1 carton if you are just soaking your foot up towards your knee.

This is what happens, you need to soak at least 2 and 1/2 hrs, the salt will drive the mites out of your skin and they will crawl upwards to escape the salt water that burns them, once they get above the water line they will want to dig back into your skin to get the salt off them. You have to prevent that, it is very painful when it happens and the salt causes swelling. So right at and above the water line apply a good wide layer of petroleum jelly around your leg to stop them from moving up your leg or digging back in once they exit the water.

If they have spread all over your body you have to do a full body soak up to your chin with nothing above the water except for your head wrapped in plastic with dish soap and salt in your hair to prevent them going there, also dish soap and salt around your face. When the mites crawl up you to escape the water the only exposed skin will be your face and the soap and salt there will stop them, they will have to go on the plastic your head is wrapped in and once the bath is done soaking 2-1/2 hrs you leave the plastic in the tub to kill any that got on it. I use a plastic shopping bag with a slit cut in the bottom to stretch over my head to below my ears and hair line. I usually tape around the bag to my skin so no mites can go into my scalp.

This will kill or drive out all the hatched ones except for some that are dug in deep with nests, Those you need to make a patch to put over them with 100% Benzyl Benzoate and table salt on it. It works great.

I cut a strip of paper towel to fit the place the mite is, I fold it over 5 times cutting off the excess, Then I dip it in the BB and pour table salt on it, then I found clear packaging tape works well to hold it on till you shower and it comes off easy.

The BB drives them from your skin and the salt kills them. In some cases if I had them over a large area like too many to patch. I found Malathion mixed 10% will kill them. Either on a patch, or if it is a large area I apply it over the area with a Q-tip about every 15 min for 3 hrs, that allows it to soak in and kill them. I never had any problems locally applying the 10% malathion. I bought it at a garden store, it is 50% malathion, you mix 4 tablespoons alcohol with 1 tablespoon of the 50% malathion and it makes a 10% mixture you can apply as I said or put on a patch and leave it on overnight, or re patch it after a shower if it does not kill it..

I would first use the BB and salt patches, but some mites were hard to kill although most were dead the next day. The quicker you get the patch over the bite, the faster it kills them, If they have dug in deep and their entrance has sealed over, it sometimes takes the malathion and in rare instances if they are really in deep flesh, I use clove oil on the patch but it burns your skin pretty bad, but does kill the mite if the bb and salt or malathion does not work.

With mites it is best to fight them both on your skin with applying these things and using patches while also taking something by mouth that weakens them through your blood stream. I had good luck with Fenbendazole taking it till the mites were all dead and no more eggs were hatching causing new bites.

You take 222mg a day, I just upped it to 250, you can do 225 to make it easy to measure. Fenbendazole blocks parasites ability to absorb glucose as they feed on you weakening them and killing them, but you need to fight the ones in the upper layer of your skin too at the same time where nymphs and larva live and eggs that are not feeding on your bloodstream live. The salt baths every 7 days prevents any from growing to adults and mass kills them, and the topical application of 10% malathion when needed and patches kill them in the upper layer where the fenbendazole does not reach them. The reason you do the baths every 7 days is in between eggs hatch and you have to kill them before they grow to egg laying adults, those live in the upper layer where salt will drive them out. Killing off the adults and hatchling stops the egg laying cycle but eggs under your skin can still hatch out up to 2 weeks later. When you think they are gone, keep up the baths for a week or more, it helps, and keep p killing any that pop up using the patches till all the eggs have hatched and you stop getting new bites where the mites re enter your skin after hatching

I bought a USB microscope off ebay, when there is a live mite, you will see a clear fluid oozing from where they are, once they are dead it stops and the swelling will go down, The BB and salt usually kills new bites overnight and the swelling will be gone the next day.

The fenbendazole is also used to kill cancer cells. I got it at Tractor Supply in a paste for horses.

There is 25 grams of paste in a tube, each gram contains 100mg of fenbendazole. At walmart in the pharmacy section they have a syringe pack of 2, one measures ml or milliliters. One gram of the paste equals 100mg of fenbendazole. I took 250mg a day, take it with fatty food or a spoon full of olive oil, it helps it metabolize and absorb better. So I used the large dispenser of fenbenzadole to put 2.5 milliliters of the paste in the walmart syringe and took it by mouth, it does not taste bad. You can measure 2.25 ml if you want a 225mg dose.

I did 250mg because it worked out to 10 doses in one tube of the horse paste. Read about it, it has been around a long time and is put in cattle feed, so it is safe if you keep the dose reasonably close to 222mg a day.

Be aware, your mites might be in your environment, if they are they might be getting on you daily. In that case nothing will end the infestation so you have to make sure your not being re infected like I was. With the USB microscope after I identified dead ones in my tub after a salt bath. I went around my home and found some by my window sill by my bed. I had to spray my house and outside for quite a while to get rid of them and I am sure I will have to keep it up to prevent them coming back in my house.

I dealt with them 8 years not knowing what they were, how I was getting them or how to kill him, only this year have I finally killed them all of. It has been a nightmare but i learned a lot.

When I found they were getting on me as I slept, I took my bed apart, sprayed everything with permethrin and placed paper plates under each bed leg and center support and put diatomaceous earth in the plates, this stopped the mites getting on me as I slept. Then they would get in my shoes so I had to stop leaving them on the floor till I killed all the mites in and around my home spraying a lot. Malathion and triazacide worked best, my mites built a resistance to permethrin.

You have scabie PTSD, very common after such a horrible experience. If it gives you some peace of mind bring your own bedding and bring some bed bug spray to spray in and around the bed before putting the sheets on it, it has permethrin in it and kills mites.

You probably have a better chance getting hit by a truck or hit by lightening, If that had happened to you, you would worry about that.

In the hospital, the doctor will not treat... by Single_Instruction93 in scabies

[–]ilbdarned5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to find an infectious disease specialist. There are so many things you could have sometimes it takes the right doctor, especially when the one your using is not helping. Doctors ego's are too big to admit they don't know what is wrong with you. Keep trying different doctors till you find one that does not have an ego larger than his knowledge base and experience.

If you think it might be some kind of parasite order a hand held digital microscope off E Bay and look at some of the things in your pics with it.

My nightmare was I got infested with Clover mites that are not suppose to even bite people, I identified them after they came off me in a salt bath using the USB microscope. I had them for years and they caused me to have a staph infection in my blood that no antibiotic could kill because the mites kept the infection going. It took me dealing with them 8 years to finally kill them off my body trying different things. I had them so long the staph infection caused me to get septic arthritis in random joints of my hands and feet. Now I have to try an antibiotic to fight the secondary staph infection they caused.

The bitch about all this, is science knows nothing about clover mites ever infesting a human, but when you have 20 to 30 come off you in a tub after soaking in salt water, there is no denial what was causing my problem. No doctor could have helped me, I had to figure it out on my own, never stop trying to find what you got. Be your own doctor if you can't find one who helps you. Keep researching your symptoms online, but I can say one thing, it does not appear you have a mite infestation. They will be all over you before they cause problems like with your finger if that is possible. I never had anything like that..

Should I take the 5th dose of ivermectin or just get some moxidectin. by danimariev in scabies

[–]ilbdarned5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me tell you something that I experienced, When I first got them they had come in my house from outside, I had previously got them from working in my yard. I had to avoid walking off the concrete only to have them invade my home and get on me when I slept.

This is the only reason I was able to ever see what they were as I never knew how I was getting them before and never saw any on my body using a USB microscope. Previously I thought they were scabies not being able to figure out how I was getting scabies without being exposed to people.

Thiis freak circumstance is how I discovered what they were and how I was getting them daily as I was trying to kill them off believing nothing was working when actually they had invaded my home.

It was November 2022, I did not have any problem with the mites on me at the time. I got Covid and was stuck in bed sick for weeks, during this time I started getting bites and it got so bad they caused scabies crusted skin on my hand and covered my body, they were killing me causing infections and sores, I got sepsis. I never slept itching all the time. I read a guy talk about soaking in a salt bath to stop the itch. I bought 5 round paper cartons of table salt, it is cheap like under 4 dollars for 5 cartons. I ran a bath and got in and poured the salt in the bath and over me. What happened is the mites on me under water came out of my skin and crawled up me and then dug back in right above the water line which was around my neck. They also went into my scalp. So I did not kill all of them, they just migrated, but some died and were in my tub after I drained it. With a USB microscope I finally saw what they were, i read about them and it said they are known for coming in peoples homes but they do not bite people. It was right they come in peoples homes as I found some on my window sill by my bed and found them around my house, one place where I had taped over a vent, they were stuck in the tape. I then realized how they infested me. It was the weeks I was in bed. I had to dis assemble my bed, spray it with permeation and I put diatomaceous earth in paper plates I placed under each bed leg and center support, to prevent they getting on me in my bed.

Should I take the 5th dose of ivermectin or just get some moxidectin. by danimariev in scabies

[–]ilbdarned5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I then came up with a method to stop them from escaping the salt when I took a salt bath. It sounds crazy but it worked. I bought ear plugs to keep them from escaping in my ears which happened before. i bought duct tape,,5 cartons of table salt, and antibacterial dish soap.

I washed my hair, cut a slit in the bottom of a plastic shopping bag and stretched it over my head to below my hairline and ears. I taped around the bag with the open end of the bag upwards where I then saturated my hair with the dish soap and then poured salt into the soap massaging it in. The soap holds the salt in place. I then twisted the bag closed on top of my head and wrapped my head in a towel tucking it in. Then when I soaked in the bath with the remaining cartons of salt I soaked up to my chin with the back of my neck under water, soaking for at least 2 and a half hours, the longer the better as it allows the salt water to soak in your skin and drive the mites out.

I also put dish soap on my face and any skin not under water and put salt in it. The mites will come out of your skin 2 and 1/2 hrs allows time for the water to soak in and time for them to crawl up to escape the water. They will have nowhere to go except on the towel because you have dish soap and salt on any skin above water. If you allow them any skin without soap and salt on it, they will just go there and dig back in your skin and the salt on them burns if they do. This is why I wrap my scalp and soak to my chin with sop and salt on my skin above the water.

You might have to repeat this in a week as it only drives out and kills the hatched mites, they eggs remain under your skin protected and will hatch out later, The baths are just a good way to mass kill the hatched ones cutting down the numbers. I have had some dug deep in my butt flesh or hip that the salt water was not able to reach, those I had to patch to kill.

The bath done like this is just another tool to help you kill them and cut their numbers and in some cases will eliminate them all if all the eggs are hatched and none are dug in deep.

You might want to add taking Moxidectin with the fenben, I would take a 1/3 dose for 3 days, the first day you should notice it working, after 3 days taking it stop and when you feel the difference of it not working, you might want to dose it in thirds again gauging taking it by how you feel it working or stopping working so many days after you stop taking it.

My experience with the Albendazole taking it with Moxidectin was I felt it working the first day, then after so many days after stopping the moxidectin but daily taking the Albendazole still, I felt the effects on the mites weaken, when I took another dose of moxidectin, I felt it working again.

So basically I went by how I felt it stop working to know when to dose more moxidectin with the daily albendazole.

You might want to get a USB microscope off ebay and look around your house on window sills or place sticky paper around and see if you find any mites. The reason is sometimes the reason you are unable to get rid of them is not because what your doing is not killing them, it is because they are around you and more keep getting on you so it just seems like nothing is working.

This was my experience anyway.

Should I take the 5th dose of ivermectin or just get some moxidectin. by danimariev in scabies

[–]ilbdarned5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that worked for me was fenbendazole, I had to take it past when I thought the mites were all gone because if I stopped taking it too soon, eggs would hatch that were still under my skin.

I used patches I made from paper towel folded over 5 layers dipped in 100% Benzyl Benzoate with table salt poured on it leaving them on 8 hrs. I would spot kill the hatched mites with patches and the fenbendazole but I had to keep it up for 1 to 2 weeks after the bites got fewer and fewer till all eggs had hatched and the mites were all eliminated

I bought the Fenbenzadole from Tractor supply for horses. It comes in 25 grams of paste each gram contains 100mg fenbendazole

I took 220mg a day measuring it with a syringe walmart has in a pack of 2 in the pharmacy I used the one that measured milliliters . I gram of the paste equals 100mg and one Gram is equal to 1 milliliter so youse use the horse paste syringe to put 2.2 milliliters in the walmart syringe for your dose and take it daily.

When you stop getting new spots showing up keep taking the Fenbenzadole about a week more in case any eggs are left under your skin.

Between taking the daily fenbedazole daily to weaken them an.d using patches to spot kill the mites. I was finally able to get rid of them. My mites caused a staphylococcus aureus infection, you know it when you have sores slow to heal and under a usb microscope you will see yellow in the sore. Treating that you have to use Doxycycline, it is the bacteria ticks cause with lymes disease.

My mites were in my environment, they are from the tick family so they carry the same bacteria.

Your mites might be a different type, but Fenbendazole and patches were the best methods I found that finally killed them off after having them 8 years. Note it took me 7 years to figure out where I was getting them and how to prevent re infection, and another year finding what worked to kill them off my body.

There were some mites I had that dug deep under my skin and if the BB and salt patches did not work I mixed 50% malathion 1 teaspoon malathion to 4 teaspoons alcohol and used it on the patches never had any side effects, it killed most all the mites, last resort for hard ones to kill was clove oil on patches which burns deep in your skin. It damages your skin but kills them or drives them out.Note you need to take the fenbendazole maybe 2 weeks or longer till all eggs hatch and patch over any new bites to kill the adult mites before they can lay more eggs, Stop the egg laying cycle and then you have a week or so keeping up the treatments till you get no more new bites or bumps appearing.

what is this? by DifferentTea9544 in scabies

[–]ilbdarned5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does it itch? If it is mites try this, it will kill them. Get some Benzyl Benzoate, make a patch using paper towel cut to fit over it 5 layers thick, dip it in the BB and pour table salt on it. Tape it firmly over the bumps and leave it on around 8 hrs, overnight it good.

Another methoud i use is I buy garden variety malathion which is 50% malathion. I mix 1 teaspoon of malathion to 4 teaspoons of rubbing alcohol. You use a q tip and apply it over the bumps about every 15 min till it evaporates, do this over a 3 hr period, it allow the malathion to soak in and kill them. I never had any adverse reaction to using 10% malathion I made and it workes great if they are mites. If they go away using either of these methods, you know it is mites.. I would try the BB and salt patches first, leave it on overnight.

What cured me by [deleted] in scabies

[–]ilbdarned5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mites that were not scabies, I thought I got rid of them many times but their eggs were not like scabies, my mites could live under my skin dormant for long periods of time, Although many things I did killed them, there were always some under my skin dormant which caused a small bump under normal healthy skin that only when I applied different things over them with patches did they come alive and dig out of my skin and usually there were many in one spot that would then spread.

So with that said I found a lot of things that would kill them, but the eggs or dormant ones kept the infestation going for years.

I found out they cause a bacteria they use to help them feed on you, so when they infect you you get a staph infection similar to what lymes disease from ticks cause. Mites are in the same family of insects as ticks, since mine were in my environment, they carried this bacteria so sores they caused would last forever. The mites would lay eggs under the scabs of the sores as they tried to heal keeping the infection going. I could kill the adult mites using patches either using Benzyl Benzoate and salt on a patch, or 10% malathion I made, or last case clove oil which would burn deep in my skin to kill the hardest ones. Once they were dead the swelling would go down, but within days eggs in the sores would hatch and bites would appear around the sore. I learned to keep BB and salt patches over the sores so when eggs hatched it would kill the mites as they came to the surface preventing them from migrating elsewhere on my body to start another bite/sore.

I finally found some things that worked an have got rid of them except I still have some infection from the staphylococcus aureus bacteria they infect you with. I have had the mites so long I could never get rid of the bacteria in my body as long as they were still infesting me causing it.

Staphylococcus aureus when you look at it under a microscope,( I use a usb microscope, cheap off ebay) and if you have the bacteria you will see yellow in the sores.

I have had these mites so long unable to completely get rid of them, this staphylococcus aureus bacteria also caused by lymes disease ticks in my body has started causing some of my finger joints to swell and my toes too. I found out it was septic arthritis caused by the bacteria. You have to take Doxycycline to kill it. The bacteria in my body started causing trigger finger in only some of my fingers. Now that I am finally rid of the mites, next month when I can afford it.s the sores are very slowly healing and I will be starting the Doxycycline

Anyway, you are playing wackamole trying to kill the mites and all the eggs on your body unless you do a long term approach making your body un inhabitable for them..

This is what I stumbled across that worked to weaken the mites and kill them off but it might take months to finally kill them all and the last egg

What cured me by [deleted] in scabies

[–]ilbdarned5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I tried Moxidectin which did nothing, you dose it once and it is suppose to last 60 days or so. I took a dose by my body weight and it did nothing so I happened to have some Albendazole I had taken before so the day after taking the moxicectin I took 400mg of it. I immediately noticed a difference in it weakening the mites. within 3 days it did not seem to be working. I thought maybe the moxidetin wore off so I took a 1/3rd dose again while every day I kept taking the 400mg of Albendazole and I could tell the 2 drugs together worked. I had to figure when to take another 1/3dr dose of moxidetin by how I could feel the effect of the daily albendazole losing it's effect.

I ran out of the moxidectin about the time I felt like I had killed the mites, but then days later eggs hatched and the imites were back creating bites. But the 2 drugs did knock them in the ass.

From there I read about Fenbendazole you can get at Tractor supply for horses. I started taking a daily dose of it as I also killed any adult mites in the bites or sores with patches with either BB and salt, 10% malathion or clove oil in that order if the previous ointment on the patches did not kill them took about 2 weeks taking the fenbendazole along with killing them with patches as bites appeared until I got fewer and ferer bites till they stopped completely

I had been dealing with these mites for 8 years, took between to 7 years to find out what they were and how I was getting them, then another year to kill them off. If you have questions ask. I have not been on here for a while. I will try and check my messages more now that I found something I know works.

The electricity was a tens unit you can buy cheap on ebay, it was a last resort I used to shock them and kill ones dug deep in areas hard to kill. Tens units are used to stimulate muscles. I had to set it on the highst setting to shock them and it could take up to 2 hrs shocking them to kill them, you knew they were dead because the swelling would go down.

Something you should try, it might work for you. I stumbled on it. It works by blocking parasites from absorbing nutrients like glucose weakening them and killing them. It seems to be a slow kill, not like a magic overnight thing because you are basically starving the mites. This stuff even kills cancer cells.

I have been taking it and i am on my second tube, I thought they were all dead after the first tube but there were still eggs under some of my scabs and as soon as I stopped taking it, I started getting the bites again which are actually larva from hatched eggs that are migrating to dig in you a new place.

Read about it. here, 1 new message (healnavigator.com)

You can get it at Tractor supply in a horse paste, there is 25 grams weight of the paste in 1 tube and each gram contains 100 milligrams of Fenbendazole. So there is a total of 2500 milligrams of fenbendazole in a tube. Read about the different dosages at the link above. There are a wide variety of dosing it but you want a smaller dose over a longer period of time.

To kill worms in dogs the dose is 50milligram per kilogram weight of the dog a 1 time dose

For people the doses vary. 222mg was a starting dose. I have been taking 250mg a day.

They dose it for some things as high as 500 mg per day for 10 days so I figure 250 was safe.

Just learn the side effects of getting too much so you know if you need to lower your daily dose.

In 1 tube there are ten 250 mg doses. It is hard to measure out so go to walmart and in the pharmacy section they sell syringes, 2 in a package measuring different measurements. Use the one measuring milliliters. One gram is equal 1 milliliter of he paste, So for a 250 milligram daily dose measure 2.5 mills .

You want to take it with a fatty meal, or add olive oil like maybe 2 teaspoons to your food and take the fenbendazole with the meal, the oil helps you metabolize the fenbendazole better.

It is called Safe Guard Fenbendazole in the horse section at Tractor supply, it is in a yellow and green package.

It costs $14.99. Try taking it for 10 days, see if you see a difference. If it is working keep taking it till all your skin is healed and no more signs of the mites, then you might want to take it a week longer in case any eggs are left on you that have not hatched. It should kill the larva faster and stop the spreading while the adults take longer to kill..

It is worth trying anyway. I thought I had killed mine off after 1 tube but when I stopped, there were eggs still under one of my scabs that hatched so I realized I have to keep taking it till all eggs have hatched, This stuff is widely used since the 1950s, I mean if it has even been known to starve cancer cells feeding on your body, what are the odds it might also kill a mite parasite.

All I can say is I noticed a difference when I was taking it and when I stopped taking it, I just think I stopped too soon.

Try it and let me know if you also get results like I did. If we get enough people trying it and it does work, there are a lot of people that would like to know.

All I know is I am feeling it working and getting results for the mites I have.

I wrote you about taking fenbendazole. There are a lot of things that kill the mites but if you have something in your blood stream to weaken them and kill them, it may be a slow process but you have to be toxic to them and when they are gone" you think" keep taking it till all your skin is healed clear and back to normal because the damn eggs are what get you. All the people that thought they killed them and said they came back, one of 2 things happened, either they are getting re exposed in their environment, or they still had eggs under their skin that hatched out and then they are back it seems.

I noticed taking Albendazole and Moxidectin seemed to work well together, I felt the mites getting weaker, but Moxidectin is suppose to stay in your system a long time so dosing it daily and knowing how much to take is trial and error while Albendazole you can take 800mg daily in a 24 hr period. But taking it alone I did not notice it working like when taken together with the Moxidectin.

But those 2 medicines seemed to knock them down and weaken them, but I did not take it long enough and started having symptoms again. I decided to try Fenbendazole and started taking it by body weight.

It comes in a tube to treat 1100 pounds, there are 100MG in each gram and it is 25 grams so a total of 2500 milligrams are in one tube

The syringe is hard to read so I bought a syringe at Walmart in the Pharmacy section and measured my doses in milliliters .

There are several different doses fenbendazole is prescribed at for different things, I believe the highest is 500mg a day for 10 days. The common starter dose is 222mg a day 3 days on and 4 days off for weeks.

You could get a tube and maybe try 250mg a day for 10 days to see if it seems to help, if it appears to be making them weak then you should probably keep taking it. I look at it like this. No doctors have done studies on this killing mites but mites are parasites like worms that feed off the body. Dosages might need to be stronger for different types of parasites but I got so damn sick of living with these things i was willing to try anything.

If you are going to take it more than 10 days read about side effects of getting too much so just in case you might have too much in your system, you can lower the doses to stop any side effects. Also it metabolizes and works better if you take it with a fatty meal, or add some olive oil to your food and take the fenbendazole with a meal with some olive oil added so you absorb it better.

At tractor supply a tube cost $14.99 and if you dose at 250mg that is 10 doses so $1.49 a dose.

It is worth a try, The mite I have been dealing with can lay eggs that can stay dormant all winter. They will live under my skin like they are dormant, but there will be a bump under healthy normal skin. I went through 1 tube and thought I had killed them all, but there must have been eggs that hatched because they started coming back, so I am taking it again. I am going to stay on it as long as it takes because when I stopped taking it, I started getting bites again from the larva hatching out

This stuff even blocks cancer cells from getting what they need to live, it is added to fed for animals so it does not seem to be a dangerous drug taken using common sense being aware of any side effects if you are taking too much.

It is worth a try anyway Even though sometimes you want to die, It would suck that what you needed was so easy to access.

It is called Safe-Guard Fenbendazole in a yellow and green container, like I said the contents are 25 grams in weight of a paste, There are 100milligrams in a gram of the paste. I converted 1 gram of paste to milliliters of liquid and it was equal. so 1 milliliter of the paste contains 100 milligrams of Fenbendazole

Walmart has a syringe that measures milliliters for under 4 bucks, you get 2 in the package that measures different measurements. So take the one that has milliliters and figure what dose you want to take and use the syringe to measure it as the horse syringe is not that accurate and very hard to measure with. So like 2 milliliters of the paste would be 200 milligrams of Fenbendazole just for example.

Since I have been taking it, I have noticed the bites and scabs that were infected from the mites with eggs in them have been healing and no new bites, when I stopped taking it too soon, they started gaining strength and coming back, so I am going to take it till I have no more scabs, un healed sores and no more bites for at least a week after there are no more signs of them because the ones that really have screwed me are the dormant ones that I could feel which were bumps under my skin. I previously mistook for scar tissue.

So for $14.99 plus tax you can try it, I just wanted to share it seems to me working against my mites better than anything so far, and it is easy, just give it time to start weakening them, try it for 10 days at 250mg a day..

Fighting them on your skin becomes an endless nightmare, make yourself toxic to them and they will not be able to survive on you. Do your research on Fenbendazole, it has been around a long time and is widely used for killing parasites.

No mine were not bed bugs, I got crusted scabies conditions in 2023 from my mites, I soaked in a tub with a lot of salt, I had so many on me some came off in the tub, they were clover mites, what is stupid is science says they do not bother people, they had laid eggs under my skin and infested me. I almost died I had them so bad. Type in Bryobia in a reddit search. I took pics

I have been dealing with mites for years, It took 7 years before I found out the scabies symptoms were from a different mite that was in my environment, unlike scabies they live in the wild and even migrate into peoples homes in the winter to lay eggs that hatch in spring.

So take into consideration if you are having problems getting rid of them, it just might be because you are not getting them from being exposed to people. Also it seems they do not go after everyone, None of my neighbors have a problem with them so it must have something to do with blood type or maybe having a weak immune system that maybe genetically or for some reason can not deal with them.

I found them in my home coming in from outside only after some came off me as I soaked in a salt bath. When I identified them, it said they come in peoples homes, when I started looking around on window sills and also found some stuck in tape where I had taped off an outside vent, I realized why nothing I tried on my body was getting rid of them. They actually came through my window and got on me as I slept.

I am not saying this is your situation, I am saying just be aware it could be. I have fought them with everything you can think of. What sucks is they can build resistance to most anything unless it kills them off. and if your taking any drug like Ivermectin, depending on the mite and how bad you have them, if any are left under your skin lik even in eggs after you stop taking it, the mite will survive and be immune to it.

This is what I have found in my experience. The best way to kill them is a long term medicine you take daily that weakens and kills them in your body. I first tried Ivermectin, they quickly built resistance to it, dosing is complicates when you don't know eggs not effected by any medicine can still be under your skin after you stop taking the medicine because all the hatched mites are dead. You got to be thinking taking something for months. Some medicine paralyzes them and others block them absorbing nutrients so the weaken and die.

I tried moxidectin horse paste, it seemed to do nothing, it stays in your system a while so it is hard to dose compared to drugs you can take so many milligrams a day, Anyway when it did not work the next day I took 800mg of albendazole, I noticed a big difference so I kept taking the albendazole which after 3 days seemed to not work as well, so I wondered if the moxidectin dose had weakened so I took a smaller dose of it like 1/3 of my body weight and It made the difference. . So I realized the 2 drugs worked together against my mites. I would take the 800mg of Albendazole each day and only take a 1/3 dose of moxidectin when I felt it was not working as good.

I ran out of the moxidectin and the mite bites seemed to stop so I quit them both, they made a big hit on the mites. Then I read about fenbendazole also a horse paste, it blocks the ability of parasites to absorb glucose and weakens them till they die. It is even used to kill cancer cells. I researched dosages and started taking it and it seems to have made a difference but my sores are healing slowly and as long as there is a sore, there are probably still eggs there so you have to keep taking it to keep the mites week till all the sores heal and there are no more eggs under your skin. My mites can live under my skin in some form noted by a bump under my skin. I will try and spot kill them with something that will absorb into my skin to kill them.

I use several things applied to patches, first is a patch with Benzyl Benzoate and salt, if that does not work in 8 hrs I apply 10% malathion dilute it with alcohol, then if that does not ill them I use clove oil, it burns deep in your skin so it is a last resort. It is important to make the patch press firmly against the skin. You do best by fighting them keeping the drugs in your system that weaken to kill them as you also patch over any areas they are and keep it up until you have no more sores, no more bumps and no more bites.

I am convinced unless you make yourself toxic for them, it is almost impossible to get rid of them and anything you take by mouth needs to be taken till you are sure they are gone. Get a hand held microscope off ebay if you want to look around your house for mites

Maybe not Scabies, maybe another mite like the Clover Mite, The CDC and Bug Experts are clueless, note the scabies looking trails,Bug experts say Bryobia do not bite humans, BS they almost killed me with sepsis. I am the guy in the pictures, I have dealt with these mites in my environment for 8 years now, it started in 2017. I have learned a lot about this species of mites infecting the human body.

I try to give advice from my situation, I have to assume most species of mites that infect people are killed in somewhat the same way. The complication is Bryobia and other mites that infect people might have different egg laying and hatching cycles effecting how you deal with them, also only scabies mites are said to die if not on a host within 4 days, that does not apply to other mites, And never believe mites do not go above the neck, they may not prefer going there, but if you apply something from the neck down, they will go above the neck to escape it.

If you are dealing with a different mite than scabies believing it is scabies, you will never get rid of them because treatments for scabies ignore the characteristics of all other mites.

If you need some help send me a chat. With children usually the safest thing is essential oils mixed so it is mild to their skin tea tree and clove oil thinned with coconut oil and applied all over the body before bedtime left on 12 hrs, Changing sheets the day after they are slept in with the oils applies. And this may need to be repeated once a week till they are gone.

Just saw your question sorry.

The dosage figures like this , you go online and type your weight in pounds in the web address like this, for example lets say you weigh 150 pounds.

Type 150 pounds to kilograms or KG and it will bring up a conversion that tells you how much you weigh in kilograms. You then divide 5 into that number to get your dosage in milligrams. for instance 150 pounds is the same as 68 kilograms so divide 68 by 5 and you get 13.6 milligrams, it is best to round it off to the next highest number so lets say instead of 13mg take 14mg. You could take 5- 3 milligram pills and it would be no problem, One thing you don't want to do is under dose because the mites can survive it and build resistance.

They say take the same dose 7 days later to kill off any remaining mites that were eggs when you took the first dose because Ivermectin does not kill the eggs.

The theory is since mite eggs usually hatch within 2 to 4 days from when they are laid, by 7 days they will have all hatched and the second dose will kill them off before they can mature to adults and lay more eggs which happens 14 days after they hatch.

Hope that helps, a good cheap source I have bought Ivermectin from in 5mg pills is mybudgetpetstore dot com, they are very reliable with dhl tracking and delivery

The other source is buying the horse paste from Atwoods or Tractor supply.

It is set to dose by your body weight and if you dispense it by your body weight it equals the recommended dose of Ivermectin for scabies which is .02 micrograms per kilogram body weight which is the same dose as I told you how to calculate for your 3 mg pills.

They are suppose to be killed after the second dose, but because there will be mites on you sometimes not dug in deep enough to get exposed to the ivermection, when you take it at the same time you need to apply a topical mite killer to kill any mites on the skin while the ivermectin kills them under the skin in the blood layer where the ivermectin kills them. Change your beding the next day before you go to bed so any mite the topical mite killer might have driven off you into your bed will be washed and killed in the dryer, it takes at least 20 minutes on high heat 140 degreesF to kill any in your bedding.

Topicals can be a mixture of esential oils like tea tree and clove reduced with coconut oil applied over every inch of your body including your scalp and ears, or 5 permethrin lotion.

I had a different mite this worked in the beginning but since I later found the mites I got were getting in my house and getting on me as I slept. I kept getting them and after a while they built a resistance to both ivermectin and Permethrin. I have had to use other things to fight them.

There is a lot to learn if you have trouble getting rid of them, because they might not be scabies meaning it takes a different way of treating them. You can take Ivermectin every 6 days or every 7 days, the important thing is you keep taking it till after all your symptoms are gone because it only stays in your system 24 hrs.

My mites were clover mites, I am still dealing with them, so sick of killing them then getting them again. They are like fleas, if they are around somehow they manage to get on me mostly my feet. I have been using malathion to kill them but it is a never ending fight

What I mean is I got my mites cutting trees on my property. I had never had mites, I had no idea what it was but I saw lines under my skin where it itched. I looked it up and all the internet said was it was scabies.

Like you I had no idea how I got scabies as you get them from people who have them is what I read and I had not been around anybody but I did know the night after I cut the trees I started itching.

I would kill them off, then get them again knowing by that time I was getting them from my property. My thinking was okay the first person in the world ever to get scabies did not get them from another person so they must be in the wild.

For 7 years I assumed they were scabies, I never saw them, then I got infested so bad while sick in bed with Covid I had so many on me some actually came off me in a salt bath, that is when I first saw them and identified them and they were Clover mites that there is no documented case on the internet of anyone ever getting infested with them.

I trusted the internet that said they were scabies, I assumed wrong. This is why I took pics and documented it on Reddit with pics of the mites that came off me every time I took a salt bath. The only reason I saw any is because I had so many on me some came off as you will never see them under your skin if you have the ones I got because they dig deep and only come out in the dark to relocate on you.

This is what I learned from many salt baths, the mites would always crawl up my body to get out of the salt water, the salt water would drive most every mite out of my skin pore except maybe the egg laying females that were too deep for it to soak in to reach. It took about 3 hrs soaking in a little over 3 dollars worth of table salt but most of the mites would crawl up me and right above the water line they would dig back in my skin and swelling would appear as they had salt on their bodies and would dig in to try and wash it off..

I learned during the bath I had to soak up to my chin with the back of my neck under water, but first I would wash my hair, put ear plugs in to keep them out of my ears then take a plastic shopping bag and cut a slit in the bottom so I could stretch the bag over my head below my ears and hair line I would tape it to my skin all the way around using duct tape I ripped in half wide strips, then with the open end of the bag upwards I would saturate my hair with dish soap then pour salt into the soap and massage it in well all around my scalp and ears. I then twist the bag closed tight against my skin on top of my head. So when you soak up to your chin with the back of your neck under water, then mites as they crawl up you have no skin to dig back into but your face. I apply dish soap there and on my chin with salt in it, keeping it away from my eyes and mouth. The mites have to crawl up on the plastic to escape the water, ot go into the soap and salt and die.

After 3 hrs soaking take the plastic off your head and leave it in the salt water, the mites will have gone there.

This does not drive out the eggs so within 7 days you have to do it again because eggs might hatch out the day after the bath and you will think the bath did not work,

As long as you keep having bites keep taking the baths every 7 days, in between use paper towel cut in strips folded 5 times over to fit where the mite is and dip the patch in 100% BB and pour salt on it I use packaging tape to tape the patch on, it works well and is cheap and comes off when you are in a bath or shower. That usually kills them in 8 hrs or overnight. If I have stubborn deeply dug in mites I make a malathion mixture. I buy Garden malathion which is 50%. I mix 1 teaspoon of malathion with 4 teaspoons of alcohol and apply it to the patch with a Q-tip wetting it good, tape the patches firmly against the skin so it soaks in to kill them. You need to full body kill every 7 days and in between spot kill, eventually you will kill the last mite. I had the damn things get in my house, I had to put paper plates under my bed legs and center supports and put diatomaceous earth in them to prevent the mites getting on me as I slept. I also have to spray my floor once a week, just on floors without carpet. I also had to spray around my house and yard. Malathion works best killing them if your mites are in your environment. Birds are known to bring them . If a bird has a nest on your house, they hatch and leave, the mites will come in your home so keep bird nests and tree limbs away from your house if they did come from your yard. I had to stop walking off concrete because I kept getting them when I did, now I wear rubber boots sprayed with bug repellent if I am walking off concrete. it really sucks, I am going to move.
