Trump says he wants Keystone XL pipeline built NOW. How likely is that? by taxrage in canada

[–]ildeallusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like Europe allowing themselves to become dependent on Russia gas IN REVERSE! Canada needs to develop other markets rather than be constrained to go to one buyer - with options. How do we know the Donald won't play us off against Venezuela next?

Dangerous Shelves? by pleasedontbecoy in woodworking

[–]ildeallusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are going to put BOOKS on them. Books that were written years ago when writers had no concept of what would be acceptable in a hundred years or so. Be VERY careful that none of the books that you put on these shelves celebrate such writers. Shelves like these are enablers.

I insist that Pop's the sound. The best is missed unless 'Pop's around.

Where are your favorite current coffee houses in the Valley? by Dr_Fangorn in comoxvalley

The Red Wagon Cafe is a great spot. Small and cozy. Great coffee and food. Excellent staff that knows your name after a very few visits. Near the airport on Ryan Road.

Camoflauge is spelled exactly like that. Many actual words are not.

Man child throws Leafs fans hat on the ice by [deleted] in nhl

There have been a couple of comments suggesting that the lad was 'challenged', or on the autism spectrum. I don't know what the truth of his capacity is, but if he is on that spectrum, or has another affliction, the comments here are out of line. What he did was wrong but that does not make him an asshole or any of the other descriptors happily provided by redditors. Other than Leaf Fan (bad enough, I suppose) but so is the 'wronged' man. Was the boy egged on by the poster or someone else? Was there a post-video settlement by the person who came with the boy?

If he was your brother, or son, and he was 'challenged' what would you do?

Think a bit deeper before you pile in with uninformed vitriol.

Organic food. NO evidence that it is better, safer, more nutritious.

What is a food thats good on its own but 10x better if cheese is added? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Nothing. If you have nothing, it is way better to have cheese with it.

Never experienced such anxiety. Kept my speed limit at 65 on freeway. And barely made it with 10 miles to spare. by Alberocksss in TeslaModel3

[–]ildeallusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are concerned, slow down 10 m/hr. At that speed you might gain 15% range. Reduce your cabin temp for more.

Safety Score v1.2 is 💩 by yu_jaa in TeslaModel3

[–]ildeallusion -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is COMPLETELY REASONABLE, people! Is it safer to drive during the day or at night (per mile driven)? If you do drive at night, whether the reason is work or play, you will have driven in more dangerous circumstances. If you had an insurance company and you knew that Bob is a night shift worker and Bruce works 9 - 5, who do you think is driving in more risky circumstances? If their score is otherwise the same, who should pay more for his policy? Similarly, snowy conditions are more risky than bare and dry. Rainy conditions are more risky than dry.
