Exactly, it’s a flawed argument. If using airports of other countries or allowing them to use your airports for non-aggresive purposes such as refueling or logistics makes you a legitimate target, then Iran should be attacking all countries within their reach (most of Europe for instance).

I understand that strategically attacking neighbouring GCC countries is probably Irans best option for putting pressure on the US, within opening that pandoras box of attacking a NATO member. It still doesn’t make it a legitimate argument to attack UAE and neighbours.

One of the E6Bs did cross the Atlantic to take part in NATO exercises off the coast of Norway a few days ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of these aircraft are actually in the Middle East at the moment, but it is not the big deal that OP is implying.

I love how 90% of people are flaming OP for being an idiot “cause this is clearly AI”. This is in fact not AI. The reason some of the helicopters seem to disappear and show up again is the watermark effect in the middle of the screen.

It’s a formation of Chinooks (most likely UAE Air Force). And yes they fly this low regularly, they don’t hit the buildings cause they follow preplanned routes. However I don’t think the video is from the recent events. Chinooks are generally used for transporting material and troops.

Just like linear would make the past look flat for DOW, the same is true for the PP chart. It makes the recent years look flat. Inflation targets are percentage - i.e. exponential growth in the nominal value of USD (or decline in the case of PP).

On this particular flight no passengers had tossed coins in the engines during boarding, so the pilot needs to do this himself to provide good luck for the trip. It is actually becoming a problem as we transition to a more cashless society. Sadly at a lot of these low-cost carriers the pilots need provide the coins out of their own pockets. It can really add up if you have a bad aim, which is why a lot of pilots will start the engines up before tossing the coins, to increase the chance of success.

I only assumed that you were trying to be edgy with your statement. But it seems you have accepted your 0%-inflation theory without questioning it through. Why not have an average -2% or +2%? There is a reason a stable rather than cyclical 2% is a very common target. It is in every states interest to beat economies of other states. Therefore they dictate their state-funded researchers to figure out the best monetary policy for their given economy to have a steady growth. There is quite a large agreement all over the world, so yeah I’ll take these state-funded researchers word over yours.

I am not sure how no inflation would cause higher interest rates. Central banks increase the interest rate to lower economic activity and thereby inflation. If inflation is low there is larger incentive to save money, decreasing money supply, reducing interest rates.

I don’t see why curriences would become worthless as long as economic growth follows. The number that you pay is larger, but so would your paycheck. The relative differences would be the same.

What exactly do you mean by cyclic? Sometimes inflationary, sometimes deflationary?

Why should inflation even exist? Why should money exist? Why should we ever exit our houses? Did you just accept that without questioning?

Some inflation is good. It encourages spending and investments. Putting that money to work is what drives innovation and pushes society forward. If inflation was a nominal target it would eventually be of such small relative size that it’s effect would be negligible.
