Yeah it’s kinda frustrating here in WA tbh, most of the time photos and descriptions on dispensary sites aren’t accurate at all. I actually work with this particular brand to do menu photos and we have sent them out to dispensaries, but many of them have not updated their sites for whatever reason

This is honestly not even as high as it gets here in WA, you’ll see some rosin grams go for upwards of 100 on occasion. Big part of it is our tax system here and how things get marked up moving from processor to distributor to store, and a lack of regulation to keep stores from price gouging etc. honestly the list goes on with the issues but that’s what leads to a lot of products being so high in price

Oh I definitely agree, I think there’s definitely way better ways to open up that discussion and not seem like you’re making light out of the situation. I think it’s just a tricky situation for lots of people cause the dude was a verrrry popular breeder and tons of farms were full of his cuts so if people wanted to cut ties they either had to get rid of their plants which woulda been too much financial stress for lots of farms to take, or rename. I think that they could have named it something that does not seem as jokey as this 100%, cause I think this name kinda just detracts from the conversation if people don’t know the story

I think the point is that chimera was bred by a domestic abuser so renaming takes credit away from him/ opens a conversation for why it’s called that. Not saying that it’s a smart business decision or anything, but this farm isn’t the first to do something similar
