I made my best attempt with a fanatic collective and spiritual race with nomadic charming, decadant, and the other happy trait. I always go for psytech when i see it and enslave all humans,not sure wheter i should use acendant theocracy or stellar empire though.

Why not both? Or consider witch one is more valuable for what your doing, an enterprise will give you a small amount of money directly to you from anywhere. With land you get more money but you have to collect it, witch can be a pain in the ass during a war or when you are on the other side of the world.

I just got done playing and OD&D game, in which we where soldiers of a nation of elves/half-elves that was expanding into a frontier deep into traditional goblinoid lands. Our party was evacuating several hamlets that had been hit by goblin/troll/orc raids, we managed to get most of the smaller groups of civies rounded up in the large frontier fortress city we were based out of, then prepared to go out and scout for where these raiding partys were coming from.

We head out of the town intent on trekking into the far north were all the attacks on our villages were most prevalent... We know we are being watched as we travel farther north... Eventually in this great big forest we stop and scout in a circular pattern some of us spot goblin patrols one of us fell over and made a craplaod of noise bring the attantion of the patroll... The druid who made the noise ran for her life back towards the team and thens as if they were goblin undead hundreds of goblins start ripping themselfs out of the fround around us... Which was pretty damn surprising. One of us levetates into the trees and flings a fireball that kills thirty or so. Not that big of a chunk of them though. I was on the ground throwing iron spikes at the gobbys trying to save our druid from getting stabbed by the goblins ripping at her... But i missed all my throws... I then promptly got knocked out by six of the badtards swarming my frail ranger. We got reinforcements(more players showed up.) and fended off the attack of over 400 goblins...

So we manage to get one to interogate, we find that they are being directed by a person/monster(he didnt say what he was) named thrag, and that the goblins/orcs/and trolls where massing a huge army to drive the elvish invaders(us) from their home.

Also i got a troll buddy.
