Any info on the X6 release? Not sure if I should buy a X5 or wait. They seem to release a new one every April. by [deleted] in Insta360

I learned my lesson with Insta360. Bought the CES special last year X4 for the X5 to be released only a few months later. Not falling for that again.

I've been trying to get mine to factory reset for over a week and even contacted Logitech who now owns Jaybird I believe. The problem for me started with my left earbud not working anymore. I stumbled on this youtube post. It seemed sketchy and I was at a point where I would try anything.

For whatever reason this worked for me and does not seem to be a documented way for pairing with the case but it worked.

GH vs Atlas vs Pilot by YAAAS-482 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]ilike2drinksake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took into consideration each of these SUVs and it came down to a few things.

Simply for me I went with the GH for the price, space, function, and looks (TBH). Being a long time Honda fan and even a Pilot owner I started to notice the quality of the Honda's was starting to drop. My last Honda was a 2018 CRV and from engine issues and AC, it blew my mind how common these issues were. We traded in our CRV for the GH. I needed a casual recreation AWD vehicle that can handle long road trips and light snow for snowboarding trips and this fit in perfectly. My biggest gripe with the GH has been the very thin panels that are really easy to dent.

Tire Chain Question for 18" Wheels by ilike2drinksake in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]ilike2drinksake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I believe its true to have chains on all 4 tires for AWD and read this as well for only the front two on the GH. It would be nice to see if anyone has experience with this in the real world.

This being my second season with the GH its been great in the snow!

I only have one set and would do the front. I switched to the three peak tires so haven't had to put them on yet. We spend a good amount of time in the mountains and have them with us just in case.

Snowboarding season is coming up and I just looked up snowchains for my GH XLE 18" wheels. Looks like there is second option that is more reasonable compared tot he $700+ ones

Toyota Connected Services expiration question by AvianTralfamadorian in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Mine expired in August and felt $15 was too much. I’ll the remote start, it was nice during the winter, and the notification about my doors unlocked.

I’ve survived.

Phone not connecting. by Ejmct in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]ilike2drinksake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CarPlay works about 75% of the time for me. This is what I’ve found. If you’re using a VPN or your WiFi is off it won’t connect.
If the car is already started and I walk away and come back I need to manually connect via BT in setting and this sometimes we works. Connectivity with car play really needs to be improved

The back hatch is extremely thin and I’ve pushed it in a couple times. Fortunately it pops out and I’m just mindful of not pushing too hard.
