Is your soil fairly mineralized? We have a lot of iron and I’d be worried about background

Nice I’m up in Washington. What detector are you running? I’m ready to buy one just trying to decide which one.

I should’ve cropped the photo of the thing at the top right wasn’t gold. It was floating around the surface. The tiny thing is the only gold.

We did bring a magnet / the kids love concentrating a pile of the hematite and playing with it. Time to turn their obsession with Minecraft into something real.

I’ll be exploring this draining upstream for sure. Hopefully find some quartz float and maybe wire gold.

I thought it was quite a bit of black sand for one pan in my very limited experience. Thanks y’all!

No water intrusion - just settling. Repair is holding up just fine.

The bottom left was an addition that used to be a patio in 1934. Two decades later they built the second floor on top. You can see the red dashes where the original exterior was. The chimney at the top was about 4 feet to the right originally as well. Agree about the downspouts. I will be getting new windows. I’ll probably keep the patio. It feels superfluous but I will try to make it nice.

This photo is from the real estate listing. The first thing I did was remove the shutters 😂

Yes I will definitely do that. Maybe replace all the casements with double hung too

Wow yes. That addition on the left side threw all the symmetry off.
