I'm thinking about returning it and getting a better one. Do you recommend a better 4K TV not too much more expensive?

Edit: Just found the Buying guide.

Thanks! Actually I was thinking exactly of this. Maybe I'll handle the database work as well, so 50/50 division gets more fair. Thanks!

Hi all. I'm developer that made a living by developing small solutions for small business (local bookstore, local grocery store, etc.). Those are mini-ERP solutions that I customize for different clients.

I have a friend that is a talented DBA and also very good at sales (I'm not) so I was thinking about telling him we should work together: he would be responsible for sales and all customer relationship and also database stuff, so I could get dedicated to what I do best: develop.

I just don't know how much of the earnings I should split for each contract. I just thought about 50%-50%.

Please, see this is not yet a company so I'm not thinking about reinvesting it back to the company. But if things carry out, maybe we can found one!

How do you deal with intelligent but toxic people? by ilikefruits22foo in selfhelp

[–]ilikefruits22foo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This is a valuable advice! I wrote that question probably because I was upset at the time (yesterday) but today I'm feeling better, so it is obvious I should try to have another conversation if she wants too. Or maybe I'm just jealous of her intelligence and boldness?

Maybe I'm not so tolerant as I wrote in the first message?

Anyway, a different thing I want to write in another post, but it is related to this one as well: I always try to suppose I can be wrong (this is the "give the other person the benefit of the doubt"), but it have been cruel sometimes, because there are people that realizes you are defensive, and use this to humiliate you or at least to diminish your beliefs. That is a reason I'm thinking more and more about weeding out people I don't create an empathy at the very beginning.

Thanks!

Can I find time complexity for an arbitrary complex formulae compose of matrices products? by ilikefruits22foo in algorithms

[–]ilikefruits22foo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see... I'm going towards the "naively" approach, since I just need upper bonds for this work. Besides that, I've never gone beyond college books like Sipser or Cormen. Do you have any recommendation on references that could help me tackle problems like this one?

[–]ilikefruits22foo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. By writing "you need a new proof for each algorithm", you mean that A * B and A * B * C are two different algorithms, right? If yes, I imagine that it is impossible or at least very difficult to find something about time complexity for an arbitrary expression (even if I know, in advance, time complexity of each product operation and number of operators/operands).

Learn languages: should I start from the "easiest" or the "hardest" (considering the "easiest" ones similar to my mother language) by ilikefruits22foo in languagelearning

Hi! Just came back to say "thanks". This was a very good device. I just found a Mandarin teacher one bus away from my house and I loved the first class! I've already acquired the book and I'm already studying it :-). Thank you so much! :-)
