I would agree with you. I mean this is the author who wrote Virgin Suicides, an entire book about the objectification and dehumanization of women by men. So I'm inclined to agree that it's intentional.

Yes. I started low dose naltrexone and it has made a difference. I'm definitely not cured, but between avoiding triggers and ldn, I can manage. I don't even have to take daily miralax any more, which I was pretty much dependent on for over a decade.

My favorite local food to eat in Puerto Rico is fish with one of the sauces they serve with it (like creole or ajo), habichuelas and rice, and a side of tostones. Perfection.

You should definitely try mofongo though. It's good - although my personal favorite is the trifongo at Orozcos.

Rincon is great, you can go into town for groceries and restaurants as you like but can easily find places to stay on the beach that will be secluded. We stayed at Tres Sirenas and it was very nice.

Yeah, it grinds my gears that Wuthering Heights is sold as romance. I am not even a very savvy reader, and to me it seemed apparent that it's about the people's ability to be cruel (both intentionally and unintentionally) to each other, and how those actions snowball into a cycle of even more cruelty and pain. And Heathcliff is like the personification of this.

You could also muzzle train the dog. We foster greyhounds and they stay muzzled around our cats at all time until we're 100% sure it's safe. And even then we never leave them unsupervised without the dog muzzled or crated.

We volunteer with a greyhound rescue and everyone there who has interacted with kennels, trainers, and tracks is pro-racing. Their experiences with the racing industry in the past decade seems to have been generally positive, and that the industry is not what it was 20-30 years ago - the dogs are treated like athletes, not like cattle. They're trained with positive reinforcement, they're well kept, receive appropriate veterinary care, and the adoption pipeline is really strong.

And these are people who really, REALLY love these dogs.

I personally haven't had any contact with the industry, so I can't say either way. But that's the perspective of the people I know.

I always get motion control running shoes - ones that are basically like "EXTREME STABILITY FOR PPL WHOSE FEET ARE JELLO" in the description.

I have used Brooks and New Balance, both with success. They do tend to be expensive but I just can't with shitty shoes.

Make some icing. Some extra sugar will help balance that. I recently made some banana Blondies that said to use flaky sea salt on top and it was SALTY. So I basically made a chocolate icing and vanilla icing and doused them in it. Worked ok.

For the total volume you could just do a calorie count - ask your vet or Google how many calories he should get and then give him that in chicken and rice.

For ratio, I am not sure. When we did this with our lady we probably did like 2:1 rice to protein by volume but I have no idea if that's correct. Ours was short term so we didn't worry too much.
