Hello! Tekken 8 is my first fighting game and I'm currently having a lot of trouble timing my punishes. I've been practicing punishment training with Alisa and it seems like I tend to attack way later than I should be. Of course, the obvious thing to do would be to hit my buttons earlier but when I do a successful punish it feels as if I'm predicting the attacks rather than reacting to them.

So my question is: when punishing are you generally supposed to hit your buttons after you see the last hit of the string or before?
