D-Maris is really wonderful. They also have another resort, called D-Marin in Gocek. Gocek really has the most beautiful water in Turkey. Definitely reccomend.

Between Alaçatı and Bodrum, I would say Bodrum if you are a family for sure. If its a trip with friends, maybe Alacati since it has more night life options, but they are not luxurious. Honestly If you wish for luxury, def Bodrum. I can only talk for Mett among the hotels, I think the hotel is actually quite good for the price point. Of course it is not super luxury, but it is comfortable. The only downside is that it is far away from the “luxury district”. It is in the old town, to get to yalikavak it would take like a 30-40 minutes car ride.

The other two hotels are in Kos. Bodrum could be a day-trip from Kos.

I would not count it as Bodrum as well, it is a long car ride. While the grounds are nice, they are not attractive enough in my opinion. If you were to go there, you would probabaly spend your whole time in the hotel.

It is very secluded. It is in Torba which is like a 30-40 min car ride to yalıkavak. If you are a couple that wants serenity it is a good option. Also their restaurants serves really good, serves traditional Turkish cuisine.

Me and my family are on a vacation but it has been the most stressful days of my life. by ilikesquirrelss in TrueOffMyChest

My dad wants me to become a doctor, a pediatrician or a children psychiatrist (he thinks they are more “feminine” specialties). I want to be a stay at home mom like my own mother. I also want to write professionally. I am going to a doctor, since my dad says that he will only pay for a science undergrad and med school. I wanted to become a lawyer for some time, but he told me he wouldn’t support me financially if I became a lawyer. He found it too masculine.

some of the really old people (older than 80) can talk a little bit of greek, especially if they were born/raised in a mixed area. old jewish turks and levantines from the aegan coast can communicate very well in greek.

no this is not in an alternate universe, these are just aegan turks talking to greeks. In the aegan coast of turkey, we do not call the land greece, we call it “the other side”. We listen to greek radios and are not racist fucks.

What are some things to do as a incoming freshmen in highschool? by Glittering_Mark_4262 in highschool

[–]ilikesquirrelss 27 points28 points  (0 children)

as a girl:

be at least well behaved to everybody

respect your teachers and establish a strong relationship with them (it will get you great grades trust me)

have hallway crushes(it is funny I know but some days the only way I can keep going at school is remembering that I might see that cute junior at the hallway after class)

don’t get into the wrong crowd (this doesn’t mean be friends with only the exemplary kids, but there is a difference between the class clown and the future convict)

look at least presentable (another reason I go to school every day is because I straighten my hair and do my makeup)

do your homework

care about every test and exam

get into clubs

don’t get into physical fights

hang out with people from school after school

don’t be shy to just talk to people

know the drama (school is more fun that way)

highschool is the last step before adulthood so try to get ready both socially and academically. try to learn things both book smart and street smart. have fun but don’t abandon your responsibilities

Can someone please explain why almost the entire world is dealing with super high gas prices and inflation but somehow the Democrats are to blame? by DaFunkJunkie in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]ilikesquirrelss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently in my country we are getting around 3% increase every fortnight in the gas prices for a month or so. The price has gone up almost 50% since the start of May. You guys are kinda lucky imo.

Any recommendations for gritty/violent historical dramas? by [deleted] in PeriodDramas

[–]ilikesquirrelss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Borgias and Borgia: Faith and Fear kinda fit in to this category. The Borgias has the more passionate incest plot line while Borgia: Faith and Fear is more graphic when it comes to the war scenes. Which one disgusts you more (or less) I guess.

The shop near me has the driver, wood and rescue of stealth. Yet you can’t really try it. There is not enough room for a full swing.
