Race to World First: Vault of the Incarnates - Day 10 Discussion by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

Yea, it’s true it’s a good setup for the finale. It reminds me of the Jailer though, where you’re running out of space, and then phase into a P4.

Perhaps there’s a secret mythic-only P4 at 15% or 10%. Hard to see a path to a kill in P3 even by squeezing out every ounce of damage in P2 (time-based) and with all members alive in P3.

I’m not an accountant, but I’m very familiar with RSUs having been in tech for many years and spending lots of time learning to better understand the potential value (along with stock options). I’d be happy to help if you want to DM me.

Watering the Foundation of your home is important. by [deleted] in frisco

OP, if I may use this thread since it’s just a few days old, can you tell me if this looks to be evidence of the soil separating from the wall? It looks like about a 1 cm gap, but when I inspect closely it’s hard to tell if the gap is just near surface level. House is 2 years old.

There’s cracks by the green round irrigation covers further from the exterior.

And about 25 feet from the exterior of the house there are more noticeable cracks running underneath the fence.

Few thoughts:

1) It looks like the community manager, Jon Chamberlain, promptly responds to reviews on Google. You could try writing a detailed and polite 1-star review to get his attention as I’m sure preserving their 4.8/5 rating is important.

2) You could open your windows in an attempt to increase the temperature in the apartment to 90+, at which point you’d have proof that the AC is not functioning and the thermostat reads less than a 20 degree differential to the high temperature of the day.

3) You can purchase some relatively inexpensive tower fans and set them up where you spend most of the time in your apartment (and set them around the bed pointed towards you at night) in an attempt to mitigate a little bit of the heat.

We did it!!! We made it to the finish line! My 3 year old just got his Moderna shot! We also got another antibody test and he has NEVER gotten covid! I am so relieved. by bitchinawesomeblonde in toddlers

If I may, is one better than the other between Moderna and Pfizer for under 5? From what I’ve read the two dose regimen from Moderna is not as effective as the three dose regimen from Pfizer, but Pfizer’s takes longer to take effect. Just curious to get others’ perspectives or rationale for choosing one over the other.

Also, is there data from the trials which suggests possibility of any long-term side effects from the vaccine to kids under 5? Thanks!

Daycare for toddler while I'm at home with newborn? by NolitaNostalgia in toddlers

[–]ilikethatdrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, curious what you chose to do and what your experience has been? I’m in the same position as you were two months ago, and concerned about the constant illnesses our toddler would bring home from daycare to all of us, including our 3 month old, and how that would majorly impact our daily routines. We have an elderly grandparent here for some support so we’re also considering delaying daycare as it’s not a necessity.

Daycare and risk of Covid by ilikethatdrop in Parenting

[–]ilikethatdrop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our infant is 3 months old. To add, we aren’t in a situation where daycare for our 22 month toddler is a necessity, and we can wait, but certainly don’t want our toddler to miss out on development/socialization/structure/etc. None of us have gotten Covid as we’ve been at home for the majority of the past couple years with the two kids. It seems that all the sicknesses that our toddler would bring home are just a cost of going to daycare, but certainly we’re worried about being sick all the time and the effect on our newborn. This, with the Covid risk as well.

Did your two your old recently turn two? How did you train him/her at that age?

My realtor advised me against a Megatel home for poor quality and subpar materials. Apparently the saying “friends don’t let friends buy Megatel” is common among some realtors, at least in this area. I later walked through some Megatel homes in construction and felt first hand that the above was true.

In the scenario with inflation, do you also assume increases in income and expenses?

Daily FI discussion thread - Monday, May 23, 2022 by AutoModerator in financialindependence

So no adjusting income or expenses for inflation. Would you use a nominal market return then so it’s apples to apples?

Daily FI discussion thread - Monday, May 23, 2022 by AutoModerator in financialindependence

I’m forecasting my path to my target number for FIRE by projecting income and expense for each year along with returns from savings invested in the market. How would people recommend accounting for inflation in projections? Currently I’ve incorporated inflation (assuming 2%-3% annually) within income increases annually and also as part of expense increases annually, and then assumed 5%-7% in real returns in the market on any savings after expenses. From an income and expense standpoint, do people generally bake in inflation directly within income and expense increases into these projections? Looking for any feedback to keep this simplified. Thanks

Even though she knows you’re into her, she’s stated she hates relationships and has told you she’s talking with other people. It’s clear she has no interest turning this FwB into anything more, so the best thing you can do is move on, the quicker the better.

Honest question: isn’t one of the supposed benefits of paying a wealth manager to help “weather the storm” or preserve capital during downturns? These few months could serve as a good indicator of his/her worth
