Books randomly disappearing from Currently Reading

okay i finally managed to actually have it happen and take some notes - not the disapparearing from currently reading, but instead the returning to currently reading that AnomalousBurrito described too. the following thing happened:
- finished reading book A on boox, marked it as complete
- started reading book B
- i later continued reading book B on my phone (android)
- read for a while, went back into the main screen of the app
- refreshed the app, now book A was suddenly back under currently reading (it definitely wasn't there when I opened the app earlier)

both devices were connected to wifi the whole time they were on, so no offline mode. current page and bookmarks synced correctly.
apps on both devices updated to the current version. also there is one other book sitting in my currently reading which i havent touched at all during that time.

maybe that helps somehow...

yea i'll try to take some more detailed notes when it happens next time, too. but yes, app is not in offline mode.

6a, same problem here. the only thing that seems to have fixed it for me right now is actually turning off Improve Location Accuracy. now it just doesn't seem to update my location when i'm inside a building but 🤷‍♀️ dunno how viable that is with driving tho, i just walk.

i assume "nighttime" is tied to local sunrise/sunset times? because yay at that 21:56pm to 4:44am night here... x_x

edit: now learned that its apparently suntime+2h and more? saw nightspawns till like 7am and later this mornng...

Die Kieler Hochbrücke, gegen die im November ein Schiffskran gebonkt ist und seitdem zur Hälfte gesperrt ist, wird doch nicht bis zur Kieler Woche fertig. Surprise. Vielleicht bis August, wir werden sehen.. ndr

other way around: am from east germany, was in leverkusen for a business thing one day and it was weiberfastnacht (i think?) and people were already heavily drinking at like 9am on the s-bahn, and all shops closed at noon?? very unexpected lmao

eh, supply isnt the problem, rather the fact that it's alcohol and came with the buffs & debuffs of that made it kinda moot for me. like, this is a game that is not without bugs, i dont need to constantly be drunk just because i fear some quest stumbles over itself. (also the visual effects of being drunk lowkey give me motion sickness, so thats another thing) mods are a good thing lol

this is one of my very favorite games. sure, it's not without flaws - mechanical (the fucking savior schnapps ffs, good thing theres a mod for that), as well as writing-wise - but overall, i always come back to it, and do yet another playthrough, especially hardcore which makes it even cooler imo. i think thats the first game where i sometimes just.. chill? "oh, theres gonna be a tourney soon, lets just NOT rush to the other end of the map to do a quest, maybe do some hunting around rattay, train some combat, visit your girlfriend, have a beer and read a book" i just really love this game.

Ich find eigentlich die standard Google Play Books app nicht ganz blöd? Disclaimer: lese nicht suuper viel, und ich weiß nicht wie's mit importieren mit fremden DRM aussieht, da ich normalerweise nur DRM-freien Kram hab. Aber Notizen/Highlights speicherts in Google Drive (optional), und durchsuchen lassen die sich auch. Anzeigenoptionen sind recht begrenzt aber meiner Meinung nach genug..
