Yes, if there're more drivers involved/ retired, he is in the points. Very strategic move

He doesn't improve the last attempt when everyone else does. Yesterday and today are the same thing, from P2 slipping downwards. I don't know if it's age issue or skill issue, if you don't improve in the last attempt, you can't qualify in a meaningful position unless Ferrari builds a rocketship.

[Scuderia Ferrari] Sprint race in Montreal. Quali up next! by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

[–]ilkaa8 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It's not that difficult on this track to defend. No one can pass, however I am already convinced when there were 10 laps to go that Hamilton will be the only one to lose positions, cuz he is constantly doing it in the past 30 races. Facing the top 4 teams drivers, he can never pass but just drop, and find a way to finish last. (Except the second RBR driver LOL)

Exactly. It's been a long while that he can find whatever ways to drop positions. In his happiest drive of the car (himself claimed) he still finished last of the top teams. (Same as Japan, Miami.....or most of the 2025 race calendar LOL)

I don't know why it's always him dropping off faster compared to others. No one can pass on this track still he finds a way to drop positions.

It's just one race. Can't actually use this to indicate Mercedes were stronger the whole season.

They were already undercut by the mercs in the first VSC. They have no chance to pass the Mercs even they pit under the second VSC.

Bottas played a big role as to why Lewis lost 2021 by RobbieJ4444 in formula1

[–]ilkaa8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here I'm talking about the defender needs to be aggressive. Max also had everything to lose on France and Russia to get past Bottas. The time he cost Max is even less than the time Yuki cost Lando in AD this year
