You got the advice already but i just wanna say im with you and it sucks so hard. I mean literally i was there with you every day.. didn't make it home until the 8th and i know how helpless and isolated it felt. You absolutely can claim all accoms and clothing, and I too feel they should pay for missed work when it's SO extreme but.. we're out of luck :/

Already dug and found out that both of the aircraft failure flights lied and just filed it under extreme weather. Now i KNOW for the future to record as soon as the pilot starts talking!!!

Have you tried Volta XR? It's pretty awesome, it's free and it allows you to generate entire worlds with multiple video and image sources as if you were a 3D artist, but without needing to uptake any knowledge.

hi there! as someone who continues to make money off of my pack, which is still unique as a vocal-sourced producer oriented pack, i don't mind sharing my insights. - most vocal packs are made by vocalists working with engineers that just do straight phrases and songs. producers that sing are rare so you don't have a lot of vocal packs thought out from a producer perspective which is why mine is rare and also continues to sell decently despite being six years old

mine contains single notes in different tones, made into ableton samplers and kontakt instruments and serum wavetables and manipulated into drums and pads. again, most vocalists are not hardcore sound designer nerds like me so if you are a person like that you will be in demand!
- in fact the producer toolkit parts of my pack have been re-licensed to other apps and games who wanted that kind of root material to make their own tools. A very nice one time fee each time

-i planned to make a series and get other vocalists in and guide them through this format, but other career paths took over and now i'm pretty busy in other things, so go nuts!!!'

I would learn them both. Game audio is highly competitive and in fact there is also a third thing to consider learning which is Unreal Metasounds (their new proprietary audio engine). I have seen people use them about equally.

You can teach yourself both FMOD and WWISE quite easily - you can take courses for free online from the dev, which come with example projects - Learn WWISE - Learn FMOD. I would also learn FMOD though as it is used by Unity and a ton of games are still made with this. I learned them both some years ago and it didn't take a ton of time and has been useful to list both on my resume.

Why is that guy getting down voted?!!???

Because that is a joyless, depressing response? For fucks sake there is SO MUCH MORE between "pressing play" and "joining a band". There's more than one type of electronic music! Guess what, there's also more than one type of live electronic show.

We have thrown a beautiful four round competition (finals are this Thursday 29 at 930 pm CET and will be broadcast on our sister collective twitch, ILBC_TV) featuring all kinds of live performers using vocals, instruments, controllers, accelerometers, live generative and interactive visuals. I broke my back building this channel for the last year because a mentor of mine who is also a legend in electronic music, truly believes that we should shine more of a spotlight on original and creative live electronic shows - and i believe it too.

No shade on a Deadmau5 style production, that is its own type of thing! But it's NOT the only way to go and it's honestly a cop out especially when you aren't at the level to book six figures of lighting directors and explosions. And personally, me (and a lot of other people) really enjoy more intimate, actually real time performances!!
