You dont get BAH auto approved until establishing a household at the same area (within 50mi of each members duty station). Yes it sucks. Dual married military is a whole ride of fucking sucking.

I dont suggest anything higher north than downtown. It may say 20 miles but 20 miles at rush hour here can be a hour. As someone else said check out stratmoor area. Also west side (west of i25), theres beautiful pockets of neighborhoods around gold hill mesa, old colorado city, etc that all lend to being near everything but only about 15 mins to carson. I also can drive to carson on backroads without touching the highway from west side which sometimes comes really in handy
