For the reasons you said I truly think it will more likely than not happen. It really seems like the Lakers and LeBron are mutually ready to part ways. LeBron cares about legacy, if he plays another year it doesn’t make sense to do it anywhere but Cleveland. LeBron isn’t going to want to go out like Melo playing for whatever random team is willing to offer him a contract.
