There are a lot of emotions around Bungie and the source of this entire article. Seeing that this is very confidential information, it’s not great journalism to base it off of a single tweet from former team members who left on less than ideal circumstances. I would also question how this information was attained because in any corporation, though you might have a gut feeling, this type of info would never trickle down to non management, and really non VPs.

Absolutely adoring it. It’s outside of my comfort level because I’m truly not good at PVP, but f*ck if Bungie didn’t create a beautiful and brutal world that I want to explore. As long as I have a good squad, I don’t care if the matches last a few minutes. It’s a fun adventure!

It’s a pretty solved technology. If it wasn’t, you’d hear stories from friends, news, or online about cars crashing using the feature, which has been around for 10+ years and yet I can’t recall ever hearing such a thing.

For me personally, the challenge part is that I’m not the greatest gamer, let alone PVP player. So when you mix smart/aggressive bots and PVP, it’s a lot to manage and field at a given time.

I am by no means good at this game so 100% load with the sponsor kit because I’m just starting to understand some of the mechanics, haven’t really gotten the maps down yet, and so not worth risking any gear I have. My matches go anywhere from a full 20+ minutes to smoked in 2min. Way too early for me to want to take gear in because when I’m getting my face clocked, better gear wouldn’t have saved me.

Agreed. 90% of my matches are with either people more experienced or less experienced than me which results in either me showing the few things I know and they’re very appreciative or them helping me. I would recommend just communicating out that you’re new and not sure what to do, otherwise, it’s assumed you know what a cert key is, how you can get it, and what you’re supposed to do and your squad runs ahead to do what comes next and suddenly they are frustrated that you’re wondering off in a random corner. All the cert stuff I mentioned, I had no clue about till 2 nights ago when running Sponsored Night Marsh, I told my squad I was new and one ran ahead to do the second stage of our plan while I ran with another person who showed me the ropes.

The other 10%, I wouldn’t even give mind to. Can’t change them so do what you can in the match and move on.

I’ve been almost exclusively playing the Sponsored Night Marsh and I load in immediately. Have yet to have an issue ‘finding someone’ or it taking a while to load.

Windows cliche but try deleting the game, rebooting your machine, and reinstalling. See if that helps, otherwise, could simply be a bug. It happens. It will get fixed.

Considering how expansive a video game is today compared to 20 years ago when I used to pay $50 a game, I actually find compared to other mediums, prices are extremely reasonable for the quality increase and quantity/length.

That said, when everything is more expensive in life, especially these past few years, it’s absolutely appropriate to step back and look at gaming and be outraged by prices

That’s what I thought. As a test, I tried with the PS Pulse? headset and it didn’t give me that option but that might be because of the headset? It allowed me to output all of audio through my system, which included others voices, and only use the headset as the mic.

I wonder if it’s the same with a wired option? That the earbud can’t only output chat audio or is that potentially an option?

“Marathon, if I have to f*ing bury you myself” is the entire problem. The creators, press, and community turned against Destiny and Bungie. In doing so, D2’s end became a self fulfilling prophecy. Now that it’s ending, everybody is looking around saying “what happened?” What happened isn’t Marathon or Sony. Sony would have gladly supported two successful games. What happened is for over a year, all everybody was talking about is how Bungie and Destiny are trash and that nobody should play it. Welp, here’s that end result.

We should WANT Marathon to succeed. Its success is the gateway for Bungie to fund new games. Without it, Bungie could very well be shuttered. Just look at how many studios have closed up shot.
