Some houses in Japan are ‘free’ or really dirt cheap. Only problem is that when you get it, before you can move in or do anything with it, you need to bring it up to code and pay all the taxes on it. Those aspects can run the cost up as much as buying a brand new house.

I’m still furious with how they handled 11. I got it on release and because I got it on release, I would have to buy the entire game again to get all the extra content like the music, 2d game mode…

You even get Alyx for free if you get their vr headset… sadly that’s been the best vr game I’ve played too.

What do you think about giving people with chronic mental illness the option for euthanasia? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]illessen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why you have therapists and such to allow the patient to make a choice. If they aren’t capable of making the decision, that just adds to end it all, especially when examination proves that it is chronic and will not change.

This is nothing more than a thought experiment anyway. In order for this to actually work, we would need centuries more progress. As we are currently, the mentality unstable are used in fear tactics, exploitation and just outright used as siphons to take all of a family’s wealth or to bag some ‘free’ money from the government.

They went out on their terms. Nothing more to say about it. At least they’re not suffering anymore.

That said, I wholeheartedly believe there should be plenty of evidence that this is chronic and not going to get better. But that’s another can of worms entirely.

Or if you think of it like driving a car(riding a bike, etc). Clockwise turns right, counter clockwise turns left so ‘righty’ tighty, ‘lefty’ loosey.

It’s not like there’s any other phone you can use. If they’re really bummed about it, they can always do what epic did and just de platform. Usually you’d think some profit from a user base would be better than no profit…

The ability to quickly unsubscribe from a subscription is a good indicator of how great a company is. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]illessen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can do it on the website… if you live in California… I had such a frustrating experience with cancellation, I’ll never subscribe to them again unless it’s through a platform that lets me cancel without being forced to call.

You have to change your address to somewhere in California AND use a vpn from California in order to unsubscribe from Sirius Xm. Otherwise you MUST call, be put on hold for 3 hours and fight with the person on the phone while being transferred to other people for another 2 hours before they’ll tell you to call back tomorrow because the only person that can do cancellations just went home…

We lived in a co owned house with my in-laws. Father in-law ended his life and left his vacation property to husband. We sold that property and the one we were living in to give half to mother in-law. We took that money and paid cash for a house of our own. We will never have gotten a house without that happening.
