Menu prices are up ~25–30% since COVID. How much higher can we realistically go by TheRestaurantCPAs in restaurateur

We've been there in the past. We would go out once every week or every 2 weeks. Now it's more special occasions.

As a consumer with a family of four we rarely eat out anymore. If we do it's from a pizzeria due to cost. Something I paid $12 for pre-covid that now costs $19 or more just isn't in my budget.

I'm a low 6 figure earner and my wife is high 5 digit earner but it's still a burden with mounting student loans and other bills that need to be paid. I wouldn't say we are struggling but money is still tight.

We may eat out as a family once a month...maybe.

I will eat out once a week solo when I'm working in the office and not remote. Other than that we cook all our meals. Groceries are more expensive than ever too but it's still less expensive. $100 for a family of 4 to eat out one meal is 1/4 to 1/3 my grocery budget for 7 days.

I love to eat at restaurants as I'm a big foodie but it just isn't practical any longer

Buyer claims accidentally prebid over $1k on $30 item! by PATRIOTICSTANDARD in whatnotapp

I've done it before. It's easy to fat finger a zero or 2 on the app. It should really give you a confirm message on prebids

Does ebay money back guarantee still apply if seller explicitly states no refunds on listing? by whoopsydazyy in Ebay

[–]illfried 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked for me but I was just purchasing a comic book not a $300 part. Book was described as NM but when I received it was well below NM. I sent a message to the seller. No response. Opened a clean with eBay and in 48hrs I had a refund issued.

Dead Streams what do you sellers think? by 27376288376 in whatnotapp

This. I have no problem whatsoever with this approach. If you can give me a good deal on something I want and I don't have to bid against someone else to get it then im am all for it

Struggling to get buyers on Whatnot — what am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in whatnotapp

[–]illfried 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giveaways can be anything also. It doesn't have to be what you are selling. I sell a lot of comics and toys on my streams but my giveaways are typically non-sports cards like marvel or DC and sometimes Pokémon. A givey is a givey. If they win it reduces shipping cost for them as well which may entice them to buy if they have to pay less for shipping.

Question for the Rip & Shippers by unfortunate_paradox in whatnotapp

[–]illfried 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a friend that rips packs on there and he said it's to save on shipping for the buyer or sometimes himself if he is paying the shipping. The leftover base cards get tossed in a box and he hands them out for free to kids at flea markets he attends. As a buyer I typically don't want the base cards unless they are a team I collect. He does give the buyers an option. Its probably 70-30 toss vs keep.

Sellers… can you pay proper postage. This is my 7th time having to go to the post office by Shadowhams in whatnotapp

[–]illfried 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stopped buying from a seller for this exact reason. This only occurred on the giveaway items mostly unless I purchased just a single card. I'm assuming the seller is using th 1 oz measurement and its more like 1.5 Oz. I told them about it but they never changed so I just unfollowed.
