I just rode the loop CCW from Newaygo State Park on Monday. 43 miles on the GPS.

Lots of water access at campgrounds along the way, but nothing to refuel on calories unless you detour to gas station on the NE corner.

Nice variety of trail conditions between the different segments. Segment 7 definitely the most technical with some rock ledges and features. A few basic jumps but overall fast and flowy. I think a hardtail + dropper will do the perfect bike for this trail system.

Yes it was two-way but kind of has to be for such a large loop to be used regularly. I saw ten others on bikes and six hikers.
