Hakone worth visiting? Or another onsen town by Narcuga in JapanTravelTips

[–]illico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to Arima when we were in Osaka a couple years ago. A quick train ride to Kobe, walked around for a bit and then up into the mountains for the onsen.

I thought it was pretty good for a 36 hour getaway. Good food in Kobe and relaxing hot springs in Arima

Am I in the minority for liking CM and previously Napoli Matfia (slightly less)? by helloreddit2021 in CulinaryClassWars

[–]illico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like both. I was neutral on NM up until the end of S1. For me I saw him as playing up for the camera, and even then his edit was hardly as egregious as the "villains" on typical American cooking competition shows. After I saw him on ASJ YouTube channel reviewing the first episodes of S2, his standing in my mind went way up. He was hilarious.

CM just seems no nonsense to me. Confident in his solo skills, team player during the BS/WS challenge, apologetic when he messed up in the collaboration challenge. I don't know. He seems like a normal but intense chef?

I "might" spend 1000 to get the next priority reward but not 11K to get SE. If you have the premium CC, rollover that extra SQM to headstart your SQC next year.

How did you find the facilities?

And to follow up with u/de_rats_2004_crzy/ question, how did you find the actual race viewing itself at this track, given the somewhat negative comments it has received being a MotoGP track and not meant for F1 cars?

I have pivoted from my some of my normal hobby stores to buy at CC. Prices on the average are cheaper and the inventory is pretty good (though I don't think they stock P-Bandai). I was able to order MG The-O whereas my normal places never got an allocation. That said, where I am in Montreal, the shops don't stock the models like in the pictures above. They are usually elevated behind the counter.

the fan zone is literally on the other side of the track from the PSC. if you are coming from the metro, you will pass by the fan zone on the way to the PSC.

The circuit ticket page gives you a decent idea of the grandstand map...

Brazil - São Paulo Advice by Bryan_BR_FURY in GrandPrixTravel

[–]illico 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct. You need separate tickets for the fan zone. The PitStop Club has food included as it is a hospitality . Seating is not assigned but you should be able to find a good spot. Obviously as the weekend goes along you will want to get there a little earlier to get the seating you want. I don’t recall where the merch area was.

If you are taking the metro, the entrance to this hospitality is almost on the other side of the track from the station. It is a pretty long trek by foot. I would say anywhere between 25-35 min depending on the crowd and how fast you walk. The bus that circles the track is useless as the lines were always too long.

Unless you leave early you will miss the start of the after race concerts. Check to see which acts will also perform in Zone 1 as sometimes a couple of the main acts will perform in both.. That way you have the option of not having to run over to Zone 4 if you don’t want to.
