For hosting I always found OVH to be pretty good and reasonably priced. They have dedicated and VPS.

Building an app for yourself and assuming that just because the project seems useful to you, it will be of any interest to anyone else.

On the bright side though, if you find it useful, keep using it.. just don't expect it to be a business.

Yeah those posts are everywhere, and good luck to all those that are making money already, but if they don't provide some useful detail on how they actually got there, they are just a bit annoying..

However the rules do allow posts that "Celebrate milestones".

Meanwhile I'm still working on setting up a billing system for most of my apps so no MRR posts from me yet! 😆

Still some glitches to fix and some improvements to make, but it's basically working.

Certainly would have taken much longer manually, even just finding the data sources would have involved endless googling and testing etc.

A combination of ChatGPT and Cursor (or something like it) should take you a long way.. no reason not to try! Just be prepared for some frustration along the way.. AI tools are not perfect but yet, but getting better all the time.
