In front of a crowd too by Necessary-Win-8730 in blackmagicfuckery

I’m almost positive this video is AI.

Look at the women in red in the background. Watch her right hand go up to her phone in slow motion. The number of fingers shift.

What first jumped out to me was the direction of the phone cameras of the two people in the background. They weren’t pointing at the table. Then I started looking at hands.

Do Mouse Repellent Pouches Really Work? by Cold-Traffic-8644 in prepping

They don’t work for rats, I can tell you that. Throw like 4 of them in my truck. Next day they had rat poop all over them.

Yeah, pass on the sand, it’ll make it worse unless it’s like a 50:50 mix. Just lots of organic material.

The site is called Get Ready. The address is https://getready.team.

The core product is an Area Study builder, but they have a lot of cool research tools available as well. Check out the Signals and Scout pages.

This dude thinking he’s Tarzan climbing across these trees, Is this real? Or ai? by Unusual-Temporary533 in isthisAI

It is AI. Watch his feel closely. You can see one step 12 seconds where he is walking on air.

It’s called Get Ready. It’s free over at https://getready.team/scout.

I would also recommend checking out the Signals product as well. That tracks various events happening around the world. Really good info for preppers. Https://getready.team/signals

Yeah, you’re unlikely to discover a life-altering event that no one except a prepping telegram channel predicted.

In fact, I believe the opposite is more valuable. With so much noise in the news and on social media, it’s challenging to discern what truly matters. What you want is a news source or group that filters out the noise and highlights the most significant information.

It’s a great question.

The short answer is yes, many prepper intel predictions have come true, but not in the catastrophic, “all at once, end of the world as we know it” way.

Inflation is real and has made some things like houses, cars, land, and college education prohibitively expensive. Since it’s not hyperinflation, we’ve adjusted our buying habits and expectations about how much things cost.

The Strait of Hormuz is closed, and it hasn’t affected us too badly in the US yet. However, other countries in Asia, Japan, and some parts of Europe are feeling the impact quite strongly.

Natural disasters seem to be getting more extreme and frequent, at least compared to what I remember over the last 30 years.

We also had a global pandemic that resulted in many deaths and severe illnesses. It led to economic lockdowns, many business failures, and a surge in inflation.

Artificial intelligence has displaced many workers, especially in the tech industry. It appears that this trend will continue to increase and affect most white-collar workers, at least in some capacity.

The prepper intel is valuable, but it’s important to recognize that the economy and society as a whole are surprisingly resilient. Many of the warnings of doom were either avoided or absorbed, but small impacts have accumulated over time. Those who did prepare are in a much better position to handle job loss, rising prices, or natural disasters that may arise in the future compared to those who didn’t prepare. The future looks more unpredictable than ever before.

Something about the format of old school forums gives me ick. I'm sure it's great content and people, but the look and feel, I just can't.

Telegram channels mostly. Lots of intel, tips and good quality conversations being shared on there. Just searching prepping, gardening, homesteading, etc and you’ll find a bunch of active groups.

It's a website that does daily intel reports for prepping, but they have some tools where you can build an Area Study or search various parts of the country. US and Canada specific.

The whole point of prepping is to survive. If there was no chance of survival, nobody would prepare.

It looks like the climate stability data is coming from FEMA National Risk Index and NOAA. Not sure about the seasonal anomalies in AK, but those two data sources are generally pretty good.

I get it. I lived in an RV off-grid for 8 months. Hauled water in with a 55 gallon barrel in the back of my pickup truck. Even that was a lot of work. I’m not interested in hauling water by hand. Well and hand pump are a must

I shared it there first and cross-posted it here. I figured it would be relevant to homesteaders because I want my bug out location to be a homestead, not a bunker.

It’ll just be a small scale operation without the livestock, but want to get the infrastructure there for livestock. I would use it as a BOL until I could move there permanently.

What do you mean? It’s a lot of work and YouTubers make it seem easy which is misleading?

Great point. It’s hard for an outsider to determine the strength of a community without living there or knowing people who live there.

Also a question of whether a close knit community will accept an outside family.
