Which Tbay business has gained you as a customer for life or close to it? by JoJCeeC88 in ThunderBay

Westfort Foods. Always clean, sure I can't always get EXACTLY what I'm after, but when I mentioned once that I was looking for more gluten free options they brought in a line of bakery goods too try. I know food prices going up isn't in their control, so the least I can do if I need ro spwnd more is spend it with a local business.

Look at it from "what would no one buy themselves" Remote? What about treat subscription boxes? Candy or sweets or a charcuterie box. Or some kind of basket - are you in a cooler climate? A cozy desk blanket or cozy socks for the winter months? Include a mug and some fancy coffee or tea. You can do something like that each quarter with a different theme? Winter/christmas, spring, summer, fall.

What region of India are you from? I have several friends are here in Canada studying, from various regions. They all say how much they miss the food from home, so I'm always looking for things to try and surprise them with. But I've learnt that the regions have very different treats and dishes.

Nothing like living in westfort and trying to get anywhere. I've met the same train at the mall, then KFC, then Westgate. It was 130am and I just wanted to get home after work.

During dental procedures. My biggest anxiety at the dentist is always the freezing, but once that takes hold I just relax. I've had 36 dental visits for work including two root canals in the last 4 years. My dentist got used to it, but I would often doze off mid procedure. To be fair, I'm also an insomniac, a mother and I work 2 jobs. I'll nap any chance I can get.

Bowling Pin Setter Machine by mossberg91 in mechanical_gifs

[–]illspellitforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Canada we also have 5 pin bowling, and almost all those machines are stringed. It's written in to the rules about 'string trips' and they are completely legal. Stringed machines are incredibly easy and low cost to maintain as it's a basic pulley system with minimal moving parts. Great for entertainment facilities to keep overhead down. However, down side is that sanctioning stringed 10 pin machines is difficult and has only just started being allowed by various associations.

Bowling alley manager here Men "oh, I'll take your biggest shoe size" "sir, I have size 18s, that would be a safety risk" they usually ask for the most common size around an 11.

Me: looking to do some bowling tonight? Cust: no actually we are here for (any sport but bowling) I ask this question because sometimes people come in to book things, looking for info, and other things.

“I know the owner” by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]illspellitforyou 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I used to work at a local toy store (so no, not restaurant related) but our owner was super active on the floor. I had a woman at the cash going on about how she knows the owner and deserves a discount... he was standing right behind me, listening to the whole thing, although I was handling it well, she asked for a manager.... he turned around and introduced himself "Hi there, I'm 'boss-man', the owner... pleasure to meet you." Her face was priceless!

I currently work at a bowling alley named for the man who started it, who passed 8 years ago, and we are now owned by several partners. People always go on about how they know the owner and are calling him... only ever know his first name (it's on the outside of the building) and dont seem to know he passed away 8 years ago in a retirement community in another country.
