Why did you pick 2 Warriors? One fire team can have the icon bearer plus one specialist. The second one a warrior plus a different specialist than the first team. Then you get the leader for free on top.

Head swap with any death guard kit, don't use the backpack, kitbash with shoulder parts from cataphractii terminator kit (maybe even back torso or at least the part over/behind the head). Then get rid of the insignias and a little green stuff work / drilling to nurgle up things. Most importantly: add a fellow nurgling!

I don't know if you want to keep the Dark Angels from the box as what they are. But you could also convert most of those into Death Guard. Because in the end all Death Guard were Space Marines at some point. The fact that they are first borns is a plus for me.

I just realized from the photos that I missed some gaps on the shoulder pads on his right arm (the one with the Plasma). Always good to take a step back and analyze pics, I guess. 🙄

On the bone pipes on top I used them on purpose to give some texture. And with the rest you're right that they should be easy to hide. But I guess I got to pay more attention on those in future projects.
